Ronan House located in the small picturesque crofting township of Edinbane. The village is popular with those wishing to visit the island in a quieter setting than the main town of Portree. Situated only 14 miles from Portree and 8 miles from Dunvegan (home to Dunvegan Castle & Gardens), Ronan House is perfectly situated for sight-seeing and exploring the misty island.

Anne was delightful, food was great, and the view was spectacular! Was a bit difficult to find - our GPS sent us to a field with sheep and cows, but once we found it, was wonderful. She also gave us a recommendation for where to eat - the Edinbane Inn, where I had the best roast beef dinner of my life.

Rooms were comfortable and had tea/biscuits in the room. Breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of foods. Always ready at requested time. The view from our bedroom window was stunning and so peaceful. Parking was right there so no need to carry bags far. Our hostess had recommendations for sights (eg: Dunvegan Castle ) which we though had strong historical representation from 1300 forward. We’d absolutely go back to the Ronan House in Edinbane.

Lovely B&B, a bit abroad, with a beautyful view. The hosts are very charming, warm and caring! The breakfast was delicious and made with much love and dedication. The room was nice (the bed for myself with a height of 2m a bit short lol), clean and very quiet!

What a find 😊 fantastic B & B, Booked a double room and it was immaculate, everything we needed plus coffee/tea and shortbread. Great location, the view from the lounge was fabulous. Breakfast was continental, you had a choice of a few Dishes to order the night before and then a variety of home baking, croissants, ham and cheese. The Belgian waffles with berry compote are amazing. Anne is a lovely host who is very friendly and helpful with places to visit etc. will definitely recommend and return.

This place is a gem. The rooms are wonderful with a beautiful view of the bay, and the breakfast is incredible. Our hostess did everything possible to make our stay nothing less than perfect. For the record, the inn is not in Portree; it is in Edinbane which is a few miles west and north of Portree.

Ronan House was our most memorable B&B experience during our recent trip to Scotland. Anne and Ronnie are the most welcoming of hosts, very friendly and offered us great information about places we were visiting. We had 2 rooms, one of which had a great view of the valley below. Both rooms were roomy, spotless clean with comfortable beds and the best shower. The lounge with the fireplace was a good place to relax after a day of touring. Anne’s breakfast had the most delicious offerings of all the breakfasts we had during our trip. Her amazing baked goods were different each of the 3 days we were there. It was such a delight to try a different breakfast item each morning. Thank you, Anne and Ronnie, for your warm hospitality and friendly welcome.

We just finished a vacation to Scotland including a visit to the Isle of Skye. We had read reviews about Ronan House before our arrival and can confirm this B & B is everything the reviews said it would be. The home is well appointed as a B & B. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The dining and living areas felt like home. The breakfast served by Anne was delicious and very plentiful. As an added touch a mini bar has been stocked for guests to purchase refreshments. The owners couldn’t be friendlier and certainly made our stay a memorable one. Don’t miss the opportunity to stay if you visit the island. Jeff & Kelly Quinn Osgoode, ON, Canada

Lovely place to stay! Anne made us feel so comfortable, she really goes out of her way to make your stay perfect. Not to mention Anne makes the best ever breakfast. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't want to leave. The rooms are spotless and cosy with lovely decor. The location is just beautiful.
