Good sized room and large bathroom, spotlessly clean. Breakfasts are excellent with fruit, porridge or cereal, cooked breakfast and toast. Marjory & Eric are very welcoming. You can also order packed lunches and an evening meal, albeit one choice.

Thought of everything. Excellent all round. Highly recommend. Comfortable, great breakfast and facilities. Exceptional setting and view across Loch. Handy to local hotel/pub with good service & food. Handy to numbers of walks to Cuillens. Portree is only 15 min away.

We had lovely accommodations with a beautiful view, and Marjory was a wonderful host. My husband LOVED her scrambled eggs; they were the best he'd ever had and has since learned how to replicate them at home. We had a delightful stay at Lock Aluinn, and we hope to stay there again next time we are in Skye.

We've stayed at Loch Aluinn once or twice before, and the greeting is always warm and welcoming. The accommodation is always spotless with everything you could possibly need while on holiday catered for. There is little we can add to our previous reviews or to others reviews left for Marjory and Eric without repeating what has previously been said. They always come out to greet us whatever the weather, they are always there but never intrusive, for us they are the perfect hosts. Loch Aluinn is perfect for us when we go to Skye and cannot recommend it highly enough, don't just take our word for it read the other reviews or just book it you wont be disappointed.

We booked the self-catering apartment. It was perfect for our needs, everything you could dream of in the kitchen, comfy beds, nice shower. Marjory left milk in the fridge, coffee/tea and sugar. Even little jelly jars! Grocery store is not far away. We went there our first day out and picked up a few things. From this location you have access to everything on Skye. We hiked the Quiraing, saw the fairy pools, Dunvegan Castle, even took our car on the ferry to Raasay and drove the length of that isle. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this location!

We stayed in the self-catering apartment for 4 days in September. Loch Aluinn is in a good location on the main road to Portree, with lovely views out on to the loch. The accommodation is beautifully maintained and very cosy and comfortable. As others have said, it really is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Although it is close to the main road, it is still very quiet and peaceful. It's a terrific base for exploring the beautiful Isle of Skye. We were unfortunate enough to be involved in a traffic collision the evening before we were due to leave. Marjory could not have been more helpful, allowing us to park ourselves in the B&B lounge until we were able to sort ourselves out, and we are so grateful to her for the kindness and friendly hospitality she…

We stayed in the self catering cottage for 3 nights in June and it was absolutely perfect in every way. Marjory made us very welcome we had everything we needed for our few days on Skye plus extra little treats like a bowl of mints in the lounge and milk in the fridge. There was a drawer full of pamphlets and maps of places to visit or walks to do. We had a really relaxing few days - despite the inclement weather - and the view across the loch made it even more special,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Place was authentically decorated and immaculate. The kitchen was stocked with tea bags, coffee, a small carton of milk and some wine upon arrival, which was just what we needed after a 13 hour drive. Place had incredible views over the loch, we’d definitely stay here again! In addition, when we discovered we had left an item behind, Marjory went out of her way to post it back to us promptly. Thanks again!
