Detailed Reviews
Our lovely and comfortable queen bed in Anda's beautiful, new home exceeded our expectations! The linens and towels were luxurious; the tv and wifi excellent. Anda prepared a full American or Scottish breakfast on order which was absolutely delicious. We were introduced to fruit salad with Rhubarb yogurt as our first course-so yummy!! The coffee was local roast and excellent.
Our room was very clean with everything we needed for our stay! Our host also allowed us to store our bags after checkout until we could transport them.
Without any doubt we highly recommend this B&B-best shower in our entire 60 days of travel in Scotland with plenty of warm water! Great value for the cost.

We loved the peaceful location, the scenery was stunning and we miss it already. Our hosts were friendly and unobtrusive, and breakfast was simply wonderful. Creamy porridge and the best black pudding I've ever had. Raasay is a very special island, and Allt Arais is an ideal place to stay.

There are precious few lodging options on the Isle of Raasay, but one could not do better anywhere in the highlands than Anda Nicholson's B&B. I am not generally a fan of B&Bs, but Mrs. Nicholson made us very comfortable, and served up a great scottish breakfast.

This was my second stay at Allt Arais, and I was happy to return to this delightful spot. Anda cooks a wonderful breakfast, the rooms are comfortable and very clean, water pressure in the shower is terrific, and the views are exceptional. I hope to return!

Anda is a wonderful host with a beautiful house. It is only a 2 minute drive from the ferry and has spectacular views across the sound to Skye. The best wifi we've had since we left Edinburgh and pretty, comfortable, spacious rooms. Breakfast is plentiful and yummy. 100% recommend staying here for a holiday in itself or as an alternative to staying on Skye.

We recently stayed for two nights at Allt Arais on the beautiful Island of Raasay. Mrs Nicolson was very welcoming and offers a very well appointed B&B in a wonderful location. Our room was large and well furnished with a good size en suite all of which was well decorated and exceptionally clean. We had a wonderful view from our window with the mountains of Skye as the backdrop. Breakfast was very well presented and the choice including the "full Scottish" was up to fine hotel standard. If you like wonderful scenery in a peaceful location then I have no hesitation in recommending Allt Arais as the place to stay.

I was here for a week while working on the island and found it to be an amazing wee place.
The property itself is modern and immaculate. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and set me up nicely for working.
The landlady (who's name escapes me) was so welcoming and made me feel comfortable during this visit.
The tv was a good reception and the wifi was also really good. The shower and the bath were also immaculate and brilliant after a hard day at work.
If I'm working on this island again I'd love to reside here.
Thanks for a lovely week away
