We found this B and B on booking.com, the price including breakfast was really good, great location with a bus link to Edinburgh in 45 minutes £8 return.

The B and B is very clean and well kept, the room was comfortable with everything you need very homely.

Breakfast was very nice, freshly made with a good choice of items, I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit followed by eggs and salmon, my husband opted for the full Scottish breakfast and was defeated by portion sizes 😂

We are at the local pub the grapes in walking distance to the B and B, it gets really busy so you need to book ahead.

Lorna is a wonderful host, she made our day by bringing jinx the lab puppy in to meet us.

Lovely to be out of the city very quiet.

We were on a bit of a road trip and se arrived into Edinburgh a lot earlier than expected. We travelled to the B&B just so we could locate it for later in the day during check in time. Lorna approached us and told us that our room was ready if we would like to check in early. The room was beautiful. Very clean and modern with great facilities. We had a conversation with Lorna who advised us to get the bus in Edinburgh rather than take the car as the parking was so expensive. As we had driven approx 1600 miles at the point a bus trip was ideal and gave us chance to take in our surroundings. Edinburgh was a beautiful city to explore. Weather was a little chilly so it was a welcome surprise that the heating had been put on for our return and the room was lovely and warm. Although it came on again in the morning for an hour which made the room too hot.
We were offered lots of options for breakfast and we both opted for a traditional Scottish breakfast. This gave us the opportunity to try some haggis!
Had a great stay here. Lorna and Douglas were super hosts and I would highly recommend

A really comfortable B and B. Absolutely fantastic breakfast. The beds were very comfortable. Tidy and cosy. The best thing about this place is Lorna and Dougie. What genuine and kind people. Nothing was too much bother. They were really kind and went above and beyond. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place, or stay again.

Found a total GEM of a Bed and Breakfast last night by accident-was going to friends wee post graduation gathering in Livingston last night and although kind offer of a sofa bed was there, thought the house would have been full to the gunnels with family staying etc so booked a room at the Whitecroft bed and breakfast in East Calder right beside Livingston. Got to be one of the most AMAZING wee places I have stayed, Lorna the owner could not have been more welcoming, helpful and pleasant, room was amazing(there are 2 twins and a double room available, its a wee place in the country), immaculate, lovely beds/bedding/towels, range of coffee/tea, and a breakfast menu fit for a king! Other people were staying but didn't have breakfast-Just me-Lorna had set the cereals etc all up for me with fresh milk etc had I wanted any, All fresh-cereals, fruits, yoghurt, freshly brewed coffee or Tea-hot breakfast choices were amazing eg. smoked samlon, full English/pancakes etc, After fruit and yoghurt(yum) I opted for the veggie breakfast which was served with fresh orange, toast and homemade jams/honey etc, all fresh produce and freshly cooked-even grilled it all for me instead of fried! Room prices way cheaper than faceless corporate place rooms nearby with no breakfast, I like supporting places like this who are independent and work hard at providing such an amazing personal experience. Thought I would give credit and hard work where it is due!

I wanted somewhere close to a conference I was attending the next day without having to contend with the Glasgow to Edinburgh morning traffic.

A brisk walk took me to the village pub for an evening meal.

Breakfast was amazing.

I stayed here last minute for 2 nights whilst in Edinburgh. I had a really friendly welcome and the room was great. Had everything I needed, and was nice and clean. Plenty of parking and good WiFi. Plenty of places to eat locally and not far from the Park and Ride into Edinburgh. Breakfast was also really good :)

Easy location to find. Off road parking. Nice rooms, clean and comfortable. Breakfast choice was pretty amazing and there was plenty to eat, without being outfaced. If we are back in the area anytime we know where we will be staying.

Room Tip: Rooms are very comfy, but there is a road and airport closeby, so expect some noise.

Fees like home! :) Small but cosy rooms, the whole facility and the surrounding is very clean and maintained. Elisabeth, who is one of the nicest person I have ever met is making sure you feel almost like at home, she makes an amazing breakfast which you can order the day before. I would recommend to stay here once you are around the area.

It was nice to have off road parking, The television picture / signal was good although the wi fi was not too good in the room I had which was the first room on the left near the front door. The bed was comfortable, the room was great and breakfast was great, I would have no hesitation to stay again if I was in the area.

Having used many B&B's and hotels over the years, this one is by far the best.

Spacious en suite room, plenty of sockets, very comfy bed, very good TV reception (unlike many places I've stayed)

Breakfast was a delight, and was nice to have a choice instead of the usual 'cattle rush' you find in most establishments.

I found Lorna very customer orientated, with nothing too much trouble.

If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay, with easy access to Edinburgh and a good nights sleep, then this is the place to be.
