On arrival (around 3pm) we were in a queue at the door waiting patiently to check in. 2 groups in front were turned away as they were "fully booked". Our turn came, the guy then told us to go and wait at the desk that said reservations, we did this once he had told another couple that they were fully booked. The guy checked us in, we then asked if he had a table just to get some drinks so we could sit for an hour or so. Humming and hawwing he said he had a table to his left but only for 50 minutes.... this was ideal. There were lots of empty tables so assumed he had lots of bookings arriving. Whilst we sat here we noticed everybody got turned away from the front door and the the place started to empty out. Our 50 minutes was nearly up so we departed and went through to our room. We arrived at our room and it was 2 single beds rather than 1 double. I walked back over to the restaurant and the guy checked the booking, apologised, told me housekeeping had gone home but he was too busy to sort it just now but would get it sorted. Whilst waiting on the guy sorting this out, noticed the place was near enough empty and the table that he needed desperately back was also vacant. We decided that we would go over to the stores across the road to give the guy time to sort our room out, on arrival back at the room it was still the same. We had dinner reservation for around 6pm so after having a discussion back in the room we decided that we would go over to the restaurant and let them know that we were just going to go home as the guy hadn't got round to fixing our room. He assured us that by the time we have our meal the room would be fixed and it was. We just felt like these events ruined our evening as we had been shopping most of the day and wanted to settle in our room but instead we were waiting about for the room to be rectified.
Unsure why it was such a big deal to seat 2 guests for drinks when there were clearly no bookings, surely drink sales are better than no sales. Unsure on the reasoning behind turning people away when the restaurant is empty, maybe staffing issues.
The server (young boy, tall dark hair) he was lovely, but the manager came across very hostile.
We will not be back here, and don't recommend.

This is a no frills hotel but it was clean and staff were very nice.
We stayed over since we were at a wedding at the Vu.
It was easy to call a taxi and it’s only 15mins from the venue. The drivers at “All the fours”, were very friendly and helpful.
The Chain Runner for food was lovely but kitchens closed at 7.30pm on a Friday night which was only due to customer numbers being less due to covid.
They kindly still prepared a meal for us as we were just a little after 7.30pm but if they hadn’t it’s a 4min walk to other eating options so you wouldn’t be stuck.
If you are looking for a place to lay your head while going to shop at the mall 4mins away it’s the perfect place to stop over, it’s not the place for a romantic break in my opinion.
They do have disabled rooms and it worked perfectly well for us.
We certainly would come back here again like I said for a stop over, for wedding or shopping.
Must also add their breakfasts are beautiful.
Well done to all the team who make this place run smoothly.

Booked a family room here for the night, opted to include the Full Works breakfast option too.

To start off with, staff were friendly and polite which is about the only positive for this stay. The family room we stayed in wasn't great, stains on the walls from previous use, net curtains and windows had black mould, holes in walls, grouting and sealant in bathroom was also not great. The positive was that the bed linen was clean and fresh, just the rest of the room wasn't, which was a disappointment. If it wasn't for our late arrival with 2 young kids, I would have asked for a refund and found another hotel.

Now on to breakfast, remember I paid for the Full Works Breakfast, which was advertised as "Two succulent pork sausages, two rashers of crispy back bacon, two slices of black pudding, two fried free-range eggs and two hash browns. Served with a grilled flat mushroom, a wedge of grilled tomato and baked beans." What we got was "buffet" breakfast, so help yourself. The items available were sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs and beans that had been under the lights for sometime. So we didn't get the breakfasts we paid for and as this food had been under the lights it had mostly all dried out.

Overall not a great experience and wouldn't stay here again.

Just returned from a one night stay at this hotel
Positives - bedroom comfy and clean, food in the pub reasonable
Negatives - heating in the room worse than useless, a vent near the ceiling which does nothing, very basic and wry overpriced, wait8 g staff in the hotel at breakfast really need some training on how to speak to customers, but there’s always one in every hotel, the tables in the pub really need to go to the skip, no varnish left on the top, the two soap dispensers had fallen off the wall in the bathroom and left lying on the shelf. There was a noise every time I woke up during the night like a lorry engine running but I’m sure it was the “heating”.
Would I stay here again …… no. I’m sure there are better hotels and restaurants in the area and better value for money.

Allocated Room 106, which is at the entrance to ALL users entering and leaving the hotel, so had a running commentary from all who were returning from their evening social. In addition - the door closer is set too high, so the door closes very noisily. Not much sleep last night (18 Oct 2022). Asked to be moved - no joy EXTEREMLY DISSAPOINTED.

Have stayed here regularly for work over the last year. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and always attentive. Special shout out to Stephen, Barry, Sean and Sam for putting up with my endless odd requests! (Sorry if I've missed naming the rest of the team, you're all awesome.) As a lone female traveller, always feel safe and at ease here. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable and not much noise, as rooms located in separate building, joined by a well lit path next to the bar/restaurant. Shopping centre and other restaurants nearby also very handy if you didn't want to eat onsite. Breakfast is lovely. Decent portions, cooked to order and great value. Keep up the good work all!

I had to write a review as this was honestly the best hotel. So friendly and welcoming. Both my children are coeliac and dairy intolerant. The staff were so knowledgeable and reassuring. All food is cooked to order so no risk of cross contamination. The chef even came out and chatted to me about the training they do. It really should be a coeliac accredited hotel. The beds were comfortable. Shower hot and powerful. No complaints at all. And Sean thanks for helping me on the phone too!! Becky x

Checked in at the pub next to accommodation block. The room was fine perhaps would benefit with a little tlc one wall looked liked there had been a leak due to dried water marks. Only given 2 sugars and 1 teabag for 2 night stay. No problem asking for more but really should not have had to. Sleep disturbed by noise like knocking from pipeworks or the heating at one point thought there was water gushing in. This happened a couple of times during both nights. In the room they advertise 4 types of breakfast. However different story at the restaurant and wqs only able to have the basic continental not worth the money and the works breakfast buffet which only provided scrambled eggs. Again over priced for the variety and quality. On plus side convienet for the retail parks.

It is near the Travel Lodge because we walked over there to eat dinner at Tony Macaroni's. It is between Travel Lodge and Sainsbury Supermarket, closest to Sainsbury Supermarket. It is near business buildings but the Chain Runner restaurant is closest to the street and then the Starbucks and the hotel are in that parking lot. Hope this helps ! We actually had a police escort because we turned down a street that was buses only and the next thing we knew we were stopped. The policeman was wonderful, we would have never found it !
