This is our second time staying with Greg and Marie, as we made our way round the NC500, and once again, the hospitality was outstanding. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped with everything you need, and having the separate bedroom makes it even better. Nothing is too much trouble for these hosts to provide. The views of the surrounding area are beautiful. We have no hesitation in recommending this property for anyone wishing to tour the Poolewe area.
We stayed here (2 couples) for 2 nights. Marie and Greg could not have been more helpful. Great rooms, great breakfast (homemade jams) and a selection of games in the unlikely event it would dare to rain!! Upon leaving we were given a goodie bag, a nice touch. We would certainly stay here again.
We stayed at Ach Da Thearnaidh last summer. The house is in a great location in an area of outstanding beauty. We drove the 5 miles from Poolewe without seeing another vehicle in either direction! The house overlooks a Loch and is a short walk from the deserted beach. Marie and Greg are amazing hosts who go out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. On arrival Greg updated us to Heather which has sea and mountain views and every amenity, including a proper tea pot! After we settled in Greg kindly brought us home made lemon cake which was absolutely delicious! After a good night's sleep we were treated to a superb full scottish breakfast, toast, cheeses and home made spreads. Greg even offered a jug of whisky to put on my porridge in the Scottish tradition! Marie and Greg are great hosts, friendly and generous. We were even sent on our way with a little gift from this lovely couple.…
Wonderful people, wonderful location, wonderful room - terrific and I hope that I may return to once again enjoy this lovely B and B. Breakfast was fantastic - homemade bread with homemade jams was my choice however cooked and a fantastic array of cheeses, fruit and yoghurt were also available. Greig and Marie were without doubt the hosts with the mosts - so generous and kind, welcoming and in the most glorious setting.
Attention to detail and value for money. Room was immaculate, with far more facilities on offer than a normal BB inc fridge, sky tv, separate sitting room, separate access. Breakfast was impressive. The price of a room for two people staying would be considerably more if elsewhere in the UK for this standard. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else if coming back to this area. BTW I seldom do reviews for businesses, as it takes so much more than average for me to want to bother. This B&B is upper quartile
