Stayed for a couple of nights on a last minute booking. Fantastic, spotless, modern large room with equally big en-suite. Welcoming owners and great breakfast choice. Local pub 10 mins walk up the road also does evening meals some days. Would highly recommend Thistle Dhu.

we had a wonderful stay, so comfortable and very hospitable, perfectly placed for the Speyside whiskey experience and exploring the Cairngorms and Royal Deeside, the breakfast was delicious and presented in the dining kitchen room, an added experience was the dark skies allowing wonderful views of the stars on a clear night

This was our 4th visit which is a recommendation in itself. Pat and Andy made us extremely welcome as always and the attention to detail was as good as ever. Their attention to COVID guidelines made us extremely comfortable and safe. Quality, choice and quantity of food lived up to previous visits. Thanks Pat and Andy, we will be back

After reading the reviews for this place, we booked for the first night of our anniversary trip. We’d normally book hotels, assuming service and amenities are of a higher standard than at a B&B. Absolutely not the case here. Everything is of the highest quality - we stayed in Room 1 (The Red Squirrel room). The bedroom was spacious and had one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in - a super king, extra long. Toiletries, towels and bathroom were spot on, and everything was perfectly clean. Breakfast was another highlight, with three tables for each of the guest rooms and various options to choose from, including some of the best porridge I’ve had it a long time! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay in the Glenlivet area. And remember to book direct for the best prices, we saved £20 vs Booking.com / Expedia rates.

This was my third stay at Thistle Dhu and the service , quality and cleanliness is just second to none from Pat and Andy they have certainly put a lot of thought into this to make sure you go away and tell everyone about this B and B a hidden highland jem of a place . The decor stands out when you enter through the front door and continues up the stair and into the bedrooms the first thing you see is the bed and it leaves you in awe then you enter the on suite and again you are taken aback with the quality and layout. Breakfast is again quality and plenty to choose from . If it’s night sky’s you want to see this area has been voted in the top 10 viewing areas in the U.K. with Thistle Dhu being mentioned in the Guardian and the Observer. Don’t waist time looking any further just give Pat and Andy a call .
