I’ve just had a couple of nights in The Newburgh Inn in …Newburgh! I found it was an ideal place to stay if touring north east Scotland. A few miles from the well served Dyce Airport Aberdeen; this newly refurbished hotel offers a first class standard of accommodation at a range of very reasonable prices. The standard of all fixtures...

Went in for lunch after a long walk on the beach with the kids. The food was really good, can't say enough about the steak pie. Staff were lovely with the over excited and over hungry children. Overall a great experience

We visited on Sunday and had an enjoyable lunch. Our party was four people. Three had the car very which was good value at £10.99 and one had the scampi. Food was served promptly and was very good. We all managed sweets which were also delicious.

Enjoyed my brief stay and given warm comfortable room. Unfortunate bad smell on arrival as the annual cleaning of septic tanks taken place! Room was air freshened for me though. Very friendly staff throughout.

A few niggles including lack of towels in room, a well done steak instead of rare and my pet hate a hard poached egg. Nothing that wasn't remedied and nothing that would stop me recommending to others really. Husbands food looked great. If the restaurant is busy though it seems they struggle a bit. A short walk behind the hotel...

If your looking for a hotel to stay other that the expensive golfing resorts this is a gem. Wonderfully new decorated hotel nestled in amongst the many golf courses dotted along the Scottish coast. The rooms were off a high standard and roomy and well equipped. Quiet location walking tracks to beach and golf course and small town nearby. The...

We visited for morning coffee last Saturday. It was very cold outside but no cheery log fire as before. "Homemade" scones I suspect we're cheap "value" bought ones..small but still expensive. The restaurant flòors were still being swept at 11am. Not nice.

I am sorry to hear you were unhappy with you visit. We do try to maintain a very high standard of cleanliness and normally we are closed between 11am and 11.30am to ensure that it remains this way. Our scones are baked on site and enjoyed by many on a very regular basis, I am sorry they did not meet...

Having spent two nights, I would highly recommend this venue, it's clean comfortable, great staff and the food was excellent, the chef obviously takes a pride in his art. All in all very good value and happy to return. Peter.

A very nice pub meal and ideal location for a family reunion. My wife and I are from New Zealand but I was born in Aberdeen and left 51 years ago. My relatives planned the visit to the Newburgh Inn because my mum and dad were married their in 1956. Amazing experience and a welcoming environment. Thanks.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
You'll love the choice here at The Newburgh Inn. As well as wonderful pub-food classics such as handmade Aberdeen Angus Beef Burgers and locally landed hand-battered North Sea haddock and homemade chips, we also offer some modern twists. Bring the kids along, too. As a family-friendly pub, we pride ourselves on providing good food for the little ones as well. So we offer smaller portions of some of our main dishes, as well as a dedicated set price menu Our chefs work closely with our suppliers daily and weekly sourcing our fresh produce from within a 50 mile radius of our premises. We support and invest in our local farmers and industry, purchasing only the freshest local produce each and every day. We work with our suppliers to ensure that we have a manageable and sustainable source of produce which is environmentally farmed. Co-owner Martin can often be found traipsing through farms checking out the produce for quality and looking at the current farming methods. ... more   less
