Was here for a workshop so have not seen the rooms and how they look. When entering the hotel is was nice, old fashioned and clean. Food was good and the staff were friendly. If a complaint was to be made, the seating is awful. Hard and very uncomforatble wooden seats make sitting awkward and painful. Other than that, a...

I took an American colleague and his wife here for dinner recently. They loved the pub's traditional appearance and friendly atmosphere. The waitress was efficient and friendly; with good knowledge of the whisky, particularly The Glen Garioch. The food was traditional pub grub; nothing exceptional, but well prepared and presented. The staff and owner clearly take pride in their pub...

Do not arrive at this establishment between 1500 and 1700 hours as you will not get in. The place is closed between these hours and this is not made clear at time of booking. The allocated room was clean and spacious. Evening meal in the restaurant was average. CONTINANTAL BREAKFAST order was taken at time of booking in and choice...

Relax and enjoy a good pub meal. We really enjoyed the atmosphere in this pub/restaurant. Service was excellent and prices fair for the area. The menu was varied and what we had was very good for value. The atmosphere was busy but still relaxing and our host was as usual at his best and most hospitable. All in all a...

First ever visit to this place along with family. Our reservation hadn't been written in their diary but they soon found us a table. Friendly bar and waiting staff. Mouthwatering array of starters - I plumped for the Hungarian Paprika surprise which was really tasty and plentiful. Excellent main course choices - my Chicken Maryland was a substantial serving. No...

I was working locally and I normally stay in Aberdeen. My colleague booked me into this hotel/Inn as he had stayed there and said it was very very nice. He was not wrong. Firstly the welcome was very nice as I was early and caught the proprietor washing his car. This did not pose a problem and he opened up...
