We spent one night at the Meldrum House, after leaving Edinburgh (via St. Andrews and Stonehaven), on the way to the Cairngorms and Inverness - on the recommendation of our travel agent. Of all the places we stayed over 10 nights in Scotland and 10 in Ireland, this was - by far - our favorite. The staff was magnificent -...

Lovely nights stay in this hotel. Beautiful location, very clean and cosy. Looks great after the extension and we enjoyed our evening dining in the new dining room. First a few drinks in the cave bar where we were served by a lovely girl who knew her stuff. I liked the local tonic water - great touch. We were seated...

A really lovely hotel. Beautiful on the outside and wonderful on the inside. I could not fault anything, lovely room fantastic sitting room with glorious roaring fire. Atmospheric Cave bar and one of the best evening meals I have ever had. A fantastic hotel but would be worth a visit as a place of interest in its own right.

We attended a wedding in the new ballroom and stayed two nights in a club room in the new extension. The rooms are beautifully appointed and spacious with a view over the golf course. Bathroom toiletries are good quality and plentiful and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed the night before the wedding and ate in the dining room...

Wow wow wow, what a weekend. I was best man for the Duff wedding 5th November. We stayed night before the wedding, room was amazing. Great start when there was Glen Garioch in a decanter, thanks guys. Only thing the shower was playing funny games, hot, freezing then roasting. Some ways it woke me up a bit after a late...

Our second visit and again very pleased with our stay. Lovely room in the main building rich in historic character. Be prepared to give away some modern amenities in exchange. The new dining room was very pleasant and again, food and service was excellent. The newly extension has added qualities to the establishment. Received a guide to some of the...

The location seemed somewhat remote - although beautiful grounds and perfect if GOLF is your preference. The room was lush and spacious with a very luxury shower en-suite tastefully equipped for disabled. The view from the room overlooked the kitchen courtyard and car park but was pleasant. The beds were sumptuous and the general furnishings more than adequate. It is...

We stayed at Meldrum House recently and had dinner twice. I last stayed there in late 2012 and thought it had moved up a couple of gears. The first think that struck me was the warmth and courtesy of the staff. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The accommodation was excellent - a very high standard. Breakfast was first...

Seven of us stayed overnight at a B&B rate which in any event would not entitle us to complain. We were accommodated in the new extension. When I say new - I had to tune the TV. Superlatives may be inadequate to describe the standard of finish and comfort. On top of which the staff were superb. This is a...

What can I say? The drive up to the hotel is lovely, you glimpse the golf course then past the fountains in the wee lakes, spot the newly refurbished Stables accommodation then your at the door of this wonderful stone built hotel. We were already dressed for the wedding and raring to go, on the chance our room was ready...
