Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The room had fantastic views. The two proprietors were very friendly. The hotel has a large area that looks abandoned. Portion size is enormous in the restaurant. I hope that this hotel survives. Carradale deserves more visitors

I had a wonderful two night stay with my son (10) at the Carradale hotel. We had a lovely room with very comfortable facilities and the food at breakfast and dinner was fantastic. We ate in the hotel both nights. Fell in love with Kintyre and will definitely be back. This place is a gem

Brilliant hotel - comfortable rooms and really good food. Such a warm welcome. Rona and Cara really do go the extra mile. Due to a medical emergency we stayed longer than we had booked for. Looked after like we were family, nothing was too much trouble, can't thank them both enough. Looking forward to going back to this lovely place.

A fantastic hotel, a hidden gem. We stayed just one night at the Carradale Hotel and nothing was too much trouble the owner. We arrived later than expected due to a long ride up from Oban yet The owner and her daughter were happy to wait for us and serve drinks at the bar. Our room overlooked Arrange and was tastefully decorated with the most comfiest bed I have slept in whilst I was away. The choice at breakfast was great and cooked breakfast delicious too. I would definitely recommend staying here and would do so again if in the area.

Warm welcome to quaint old hotel from Rhona and her daughter. Our room was very clean and comfortable with beautiful views over the garden towards Arran. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating with any request. We had dinner and breakfast there and both meals were top class. The hotel is so close to the golf course you can walk to the first tee in one minute! (Beautiful golf course). Lovely village with amazing beaches nearby. We had the best weather too.

My partner and I have just returned home from our stay at the Carradale Hotel. What can I say!!! Our stay was outstanding! The room was immaculate and the food was fabulous. So much so we ate both nights of our stay! Both Caroline and Rhona were fabulous hosts and made our stay soo comfortable. Have booked to return at the end of the summer. Our new home from home!

Would highly recommend. Had the most amazing stay here. Beautiful views and such a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend. The owners go above and beyond to male sure you are comfortable. Nothing is too much for them. The hotel owners were very friendly and welcoming. It has a lovely warm family vibe. Nothing was too much for them. And they couldn't be more accommodating. We came for one night and had the most time with amazing service. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal. The food was so delicious. Everything was fresh and you could tell was of a really high standard. And the main thing was really good value for money. Cannot wait to visit again. Thank you so much for having us. We can't wait to see you again soon.

Had the most relaxing overnight stay in this beautiful family run hotel. The room we stayed in was perfect with stunning views of the isle of Arran across the water. Hotel owners were very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much for them. The food!!! Omg must have been the best meals I've had in a long time. I ate in the hotel for dinner and breakfast during my stay and the standard of food served was completely out of this world. Cannot wait to visit again. Thank you for accommodating us, see you again soon.
