Sharon and John are exceptional hosts helping to tailor this holiday to our individual needs. Very friendly and relaxed ambience; delicious breakfasts and comfortable socially distant tables. Bedroom had a beautiful view to the coast and a large comfy bed. Sharon was very helpful with tips for local walks and where to eat and book for an evening meal. Thanks to them both for helping us enjoy such a relaxed holiday.

Stayed here on a quick 2day trip round Kintyre…..brilliant weather combined with great little hotel….friendly hosts willing to help (very accommodating when needed to change at short notice by calling them directly) and give advice on all things in the area…..room spot on with a great view of golf course, the sea and Arran, lovely cosy lounge (which we didn’t use because most of the guests were in the outside area sitting chatting having a few sundowners with the hosts) and capped off by a great local breakfast…..unbelievable value for money

What a lovely B&B in a quiet area of the beautiful Kintyre. Amazing interior, the beds were so comfortable and the breakfast was really tasty. The owners are such lovely people. We had a little inconveniance and had to cancel one night, they gave our refund immediately. Hidden gem!!

A lovely B&B in the peaceful setting of Campbeltown, with clean and modern accommodation, off-road parking and excellent breakfasts. Very good value for money. Sharon and John could not have been more welcoming and helpful and we'd definitely stay there again. Nearby attractions are a very good pub/restaurant, golf course and quaint harbour. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed my short stay in Carradale and The Ashbank could not have been friendlier hosts.
Great breakfast and a very comfortable night's sleep.
Would definitely recommend a wee wander around the village early in the morning. The views are stunning.

Sharon and John are very welcoming and gave great recommendations for dinner and things to do. Great cosy atmosphere at the bar. The room was clean and tidy. Great place to stay for walking to the beach or Forrest.

We don't understand the good reviews for this hotel. Be aware that this is really a B&B, an average one, charging hotel prices while missing basic hotel comforts as follows: grey seen-better-days towels, no toiletries apart from a tube of handwash, no biscuits with the tea/coffee, television with indoor aerial showing 3 fuzzy channels, no wifi, no guest lounge to escape from the bedrooms. Our bedrooms had cruddy heaters and carpets and a lingering damp smell. We can't commemt on the food as we didn't eat there apart from breakfast, which was a good one. If they made these changes and opened up a classy lounge, this could be a a lot better. Not recommended for more than one night,

My partner and I have just returned from a 2 day stay at the ashbank hotel. Tracy and Fiona were very welcoming and friendly. I am quite a fussy eater but i thoroughly enjoyed every meal that i had, it was wonderful, the homemade steak pie was the best i had ever tasted. Nothing was too much trouble They allowed my wee dog to stay as well which was a plus point in staying there. Thanks girls

The Ashbank is a first class small hotel in the quaint fishing village of Carradale, Kintyre. Stayed overnight on 21 June 2014. Room was freshly furnished, the bed was superb and I slept like a log.
Breakfast was first class, prepared and served by the friendly owners.

This is a small(5 bedrooms)Highland hotel with a big heart. Ask for a room at the rear and you will look out over the golf course to the sea with views of the Firth of Clyde and Ailsa Craig-lovely! Breakfast is a veritable feast -be aware the portions are huge.
