In a quiet place of undisturbed tranquility and almost surreal natural beauty, where the slopes of Ben Cruachan fall into the clear waters of loch Awe, lies a deeply romantic and luxurious old country house called Ardanaiseig. In a 19th-century manor house on 120 acres beside Loch Awe, this luxury hotel is 21 miles from the ruined Kilchurn Castle and 22 miles from Ben Cruachan. Elegant rooms offer loch or garden views and feature antique furnishings. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with DVD players, tea and coffee making facilities, and designer Scottish toiletries. There is also a separate glass-fronted loch side Boatshed suite and a 2-bedroom cottage. An acclaimed restaurant serves upmarket, seasonal dishes. Full Scottish breakfast and afternoon tea are available, and other amenities include boat rentals, croquet and bikes.

We booked the Ardanaiseig simply because it was close to our home in Oban and we needed a night away. They had a winter offer for a Garden Room but on arrival there was a Master Loch room available and they very kindly upgraded us. The Hotel is set in vast gardens on the side of

We stayed for two nights on a special winter offer. It's a bit of a trek down a surprisingly busy single-track road but the hotel is definitely worth the trip. It's a lovely building with stunning surrounding mountains and the loch. Our room was a decent size and very

Are bar suppers available? As don't really want to eat in the restaurant both nights we are there.
Hi Sorry - I’m not sure, but don’t think so. Would be worth phoning the hotel to check, though, as we only stayed one night and we had a voucher including dinner.

Dear Madam, Thank you for your enquiry. Yes we can indeed arrange a car to come and collect you it would be a taxi from the Oban area and it would cost £45 to get you from there to here. Have you got a booking date in mind for visiting us here at Ardanaiseig Hotel? If you require any further assistance then please do not hesitate to call us here on 01866 833333. We very much look forward to welcoming you to Ardanaiseig. Kindest Regards Louise

"Stay away from the room 'Ben Neagh'!"
"The Boat House is lovely but modern and doesn't capture the charm of the main building. The red room, Tervine, is the jewel of them all!"
