Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A nice little place for a short stay. Everything you need is supplied and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only down side was as the days went on the breakfast got smaller and smaller, you were offered more toast but these were placed in those stupid rack things where the toast gets stuck and it just helps to make it go cold. On the last day we were in hysterics at the breakfast table as we were given one mushroom that had been cut into four pieces.

Arrived here after a long day walking in the rain glad that a drying room was one of the services. Unfortunately the drying room could not handle our wet walking gear and we left with damp feet the next day. Room was very small but clean, shower was a little disappointing Cooked breakfast was good

This is a beautifully appointed guest house with thought given to everything a weary traveller could want. The bathrooms with bath even had Radox and soaking salts to rejuvenate after a long days hike. Breakfast was generous with continental including fruit compotes, yoghurt, juices and cereals while the hot breakfast was served individually to order. The hosts were attentive and friendly and they even provided drying areas and luggage lock ups for your gear. A few traditional pubs nearby sort you out for lunch and dinner and a local co-op to stock upon snacks.

A few 100 m outside of the village. Quiet, really small rooms (two beds, not adjacent); showers below expectations. Some refurbishment, eg painting, is advisable. Breakfast fine. Check-in strictly enforced after 3 pm (we were there before and had to wait until 3 pm).

Very comfortable overnight stay whilst walking the West Highland Way. Very nice touches including much appreciated bath salts & an ‘honesty’ shop/bar for drinks & snacks. A cosy lounge area & efficient breakfast service. In a quiet location with easy access to the shops & pubs of Kinlochleven.

The Guest House was wonderful - very clean with everything we needed including a variety of soaps and shampoos. The staff were excellent and very welcoming. The wifi was excellent. It is right in town and you can easily walk to restaurants, pubs or the co-op to pick up something for dinner. The breakfast was excellent and they could easily accommodate special diets.

Very nice hotel. Tasty breakfast, comfortable beds, hot water and nice views. One from our group was a bit ill and he felt very good to relax in the room which luckily had Netflix so he wasn’t bored while he was waiting to get better. Thank you for a nice stay.

My friend and I had a one night's stay at the Tigh Na Chef Guest House after walking from KingsHouse. The owners are welcoming, friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very comfortable. The sitting/reading room is comfortable too. It sits on the edge of the charming Kinlochleven village, and walking distance into the center of town. Kinlochleven has an interesting history and its area has beautiful walks and other outdoor and indoor activities. For a comfortable, warm place to spend the night after a long day of walking, with a good breakfast, this is the place to stay.

The hotel is just outside of town but within walking distance to it. It seems that most guests are outdoors enthusiasts hiking in the area. The lounge area is quaint and the rooms fairly basic, but adequate. With the temperatures dropping, plus the damp, wet outdoor conditions, a couple spiders moved indoors. Not a problem, just need to watch out for them. The WiFi was unreliable at best and kept dropping out. Near the stairs is a cooler with different beverages one can buy if not wanting to walk into town. The room was a decent size and the bed was very comfortable. There was a kettle for boiling water to make tea. Breakfast was typical full English. The exterior needs some TLC and maintenance. When driving up to it my first thought was, I hope the interior looks better than the exterior.

Very clean rooms, fully equipped bathroom to regenerate after a day in the highlands and excellent breakfast. A short walk into the town, which has a number of pubs and restaurants. Highly recommended.
