Stayed here for a night during our hike. It is located on edge of town away from WHW but don't let that put you off, after all what's another mile to walk.Welcome by son could have been more friendly, but room was fantastic with a shower and a bath. Decor probably not to everyones taste but very clean and comfortable. There is a drying room at side of the house which is much needed if walking in the rain. Breakfast had a good choice and was plentiful. Definitely recommend staying here if doing WHW.
Abruptly greeted by host. Told to go to the freezing cold drying room and leave wet belongings which I did and were still wet in the morning. Room was small looked clean but the duvet cover was creased and smelly. Bathroom was nice and modern but the mould in the shower was off putting. Breakfast was ok but abruptly served. If anything this accommodation is purely a make money quick exercise and absolutely no consideration for guest comfort or following the guidelines for covid 19 Saving grace I only had one night stay and would avoid at all costs.
Odd place. Decor very 1980s. Felt unwelcome from the moment I arrived. The so-called residents' lounge seems to be the owners lounge. There is an aggressive notice warning walkers that any spillage of water on mattresses will incur an £80 fine and another stating no credit/debit cards (can only indicate tax avoidance to my mind). I had an en-suite room that had no sink! How can you fill the kettle? Or clean your teeth? I didn't want to beg for water so went and bought water. Very good breakfast selection, however.
Room exceptional, stunning views over the loch. On the edge of the village - very peaceful. Hospitality was second to none and felt was treated like family. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Central for day trips to a number of locations including Malaig, Fort William and Oban to name a few.
My friend and I stayed at Edencoille for one night on 5th October 2019. We received a warm welcome by Elsie Robertson, owner, who offered us tea and coffee. Our room was on the ground floor. It was extremely well appointed, with very comfortable beds, good quality bedding. There was everything in the room that you could possibly need, including kettle, tea, coffee etc, loads of biscuits and chocolates. In addition there was a little gauze bag on each bed which contained shampoo, conditioner, hand cream etc. The towels were good quality and soft and fluffy. The en-suite bathroom was beautifully decorated, had a large bath and a separate shower unit. The bathroom was also well equipped with everything you would need, even emergency toothbrush/toothpaste sets, hand cream, hand wash, shampoo. Tissues were provided in the bathroom as well as at the side of each bed. There was a good choice of breakfast, from continental to full Scottish and everything in between. Loads of fruit, cereal and yoghurt were also provided. The only regret I had was that I was only staying for one night! I will certainly will be back.…
