We stopped here for 5 nights in July - 2 adults, 1 child. Perfectly located on the outskirts of the main town, Edencoille is a true home away from home. We arrived much later than planned as we had an almost 5 hour diversion. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our room on the top floor. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped as described. Sandy and Drew were the perfect hosts - our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels supplied daily too. The breakfasts were legendary! So much to choose from; delicious and beautifully presented on set tables. Highly recommend the pack lunches too which were great value. There are so many little details and extras at Edencoille which you don’t get at other guest houses from the breakfast choices to the little chocolates and biscuits in the room, the tea chest in the bedroom and mini toiletries. The generosity of the owners is abundant. Thank you so much for your hospitality and generosity, we will definitely be back!

We stayed for one night (wish it had been for longer) whilst walking the WHW. We were made very welcome and were delighted to stay in a beautiful comfy room with a superking bed, fantastic bathroom, all the facilities you could possibly wish for after a long day waking 25 miles. All the little touches such as chocs by the bed, hot water bottle, foot spa are all very much appreciated. Thank you, amazing Bed & Breakfast X

Just stayed 2 nights and we were treated very well, don’t know who the people moaning about grumpy owners are seeing because neither Sandy nor Drew were grumpy. Sandy picked us up from Kingshouse within 30 minutes of us calling, chatted away all the way back to the guest house where he showed us to our room explaining what we needed to do for breakfast and a packed lunch for our next days walk. We ordered both no problems. The room was very clean, chocolates in the room along with everything else you could think of. The room was hot at night but unfortunately due to the midges we couldn’t open the window but this had obviously been thought of because there was a fan in the room! The breakfast the next day was huge, we had ordered kippers and scrambled egg and a traditional Scottish breakfast. I had expected one kipper but got two, there were cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts toast breads preserves the cooked breakfast was eggs bacon, black pudding, sausages, hash browns copious amounts of tea and coffee, the packed lunch was two rounds of sandwiches, 2 chocolate bars a packet of crisps and a piece of fruit plus a drink, one lunch would have done both of us but the sandwiches were so fresh and the filling so generous we scoffed the lot! This was our second time of walking the WHW if we do it again we will definitely stay with Sandy and Drew, lovely men who try to do whatever they can for you

I'm really sorry to write this review as I know that it has been a tough year for those working in hospitality...but I hope that the owners will find the feedback from our experience constructive.

We stayed here after a long day on the West Highland Way and were left very disappointed by the whole experience. We were told to take our shoes off (fair enough!) but not taken to the room or shown the drying room.

There were lots of very aggressive signs warning guests that water spillages from camel baks will incur an £80 fee. I'm sure this is very annoying for the owners but there are much more polite ways of asking! It doesn't put you on a great frame of mind.

The room was poorly designed and didn't reflect the photos on the website. I think I would have been fairly embarrassed to have shown a guest to this room! There was a shower in the corner of the room and the wash basin was hidden away in a cupboard on the corner. You had to move a chair to get into the cupboard. There was nowhere to hang towels or put your bags. The breakfast was very average.

It's such a shame that the host wasn't a bit friendlier because I suppose we might have been a bit forgiving of the inconveniences in the room otherwise. There was little or no warmth and we felt like a bit of an inconvenience in all honesty.

The room was comfortable with everything needed. It took me a while to find the sink as it was in the wardrobe. The shower has great water pressure which was much appreciated after a day of hiking. The hosts were friendly and the breakfast was great.

We stayed for one night 07 Apr 2022 during our walk on the West Highland Way. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodation is clean and lovely decorated throughout. They have thought of everything you could possibly need from drying room for wet hiking clothes, resident lounge with log burner and rooms are so well stocked with fluffy robes, hot water bottles, tea, coffee, cocoa, biscuits, chocolates, foot spa and lots of other extra special touches. Breakfast was fantastic - an absolute banquet of fresh good quality food to set you up for the day. Would definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back again in the future. Dawson party of 2.

Though slightly off the West Highland Way it is worth the extra steps to stay at this quiet and nicely presented guest house. Our ground floor room was clean, spacious and extremely well provisioned, as was the ensuite bath and shower room. Lots of finishing touches, such as the toiletries and bedside chocolates. After a comfortable night's sleep, we enjoyed a great breakfast in the dining room, with a choice of fruit, cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, cereals and pastries in addition to the hot menu. A good night stop.

This is a hard one to review; I hate to leave negative comments but also want others to be aware of what they’re in for. On one hand, the home itself was very well kept and clean. Some have commented on its kitschy decor, but I like when an inn or B&B owner displays their own taste and personality in how they decorate, whether or not it’s something of my personal taste. Breakfast was good and hearty. Beds were a little worn (old springs/bouncy). However. This is probably the most unwelcoming inn, B&B, or hotel that we’ve ever stayed in. We never did see the female host, so dealt exclusively with the father and son. Their entire demeanor was unwelcoming from start to finish. Never a word said that wasn’t absolutely necessary; don’t expect any helpful information about the area or finding dining options or hiring a taxi. The entire time we felt like unwelcome guests in someone’s home. They’re obviously quite keen to take your money, but beyond that (and serving breakfast) you are on your own. We had to find our own room, and were told “everything is in the folder.” That’s that. The drying room did not seem to be heated, so there’s a good chance your items will still be wet in the morning if you got drenched on the way in. Perhaps they’re nicer to folks with a Scottish accent? No idea, but I’m having trouble wrapping my head around any review that says the hosts were warm and welcoming; they were anything but for us and the other travelers staying at the same time (we got to know two other parties quite well, one from Norway and one from the U.S.). But I would highly recommend finding other accommodations where you are not made to feel like you’re imposing on your hosts for simply being present.

We stayed here on our penultimate night of the West Highland Way, arriving late into Kinlochleven to find that no campsites cater for 4 man tent pitches!! After a quick pint at the Tailrace Inn we frantically rang round to sort accommodation for the night. Edencoille was our saving grace and a welcome respite from 4 days of wild camping. Very quaint decor and comfortable rooms, we were off to sleep within minutes. But this bnb’s pièce de résistance is its breakfast - smoked salmon and scrambled egg with scones, rolls, toast and a huge number of spreads plus a selection of cereals, tea/coffee - just what was needed to fuel our final day of the West Highland Way!

Stayed here for a night during our hike. It is located on edge of town away from WHW but don't let that put you off, after all what's another mile to walk.Welcome by son could have been more friendly, but room was fantastic with a shower and a bath. Decor probably not to everyones taste but very clean and comfortable. There is a drying room at side of the house which is much needed if walking in the rain. Breakfast had a good choice and was plentiful. Definitely recommend staying here if doing WHW.
