This was my second stay and I wouldn't go anywhere else on my work trips to Lochgilphead. The rooms are small, yes, but perfectly comfy and very clean. Breakfast choices are good, love the fact that you can have a medium or a large cooked breakfast! The medium was generous and well cooked - I think the large would have...

myself and my husband and our 3 dogs were staying at the singing heart cottage and therefore this place was our local for meals. what beautiful meals! very generous portions and plenty to choose from, also dog friendly which 'sold' us. The service was second to none as were the meals and extensive menu, will definitely return.

We were on our way to Islay for a day and booked to stay overnight on Thursday 15th September. Arrived late afternoon and checked in, I was in room 2 which although not much space around the bed has ample room for one night, large double bed, very comfortable, ample pillows and duvet. Ample towels and bathroom had a very...

The staff were really friendly and amazingly helpful. The room was small but it had everything I expected. The bed was very comfortable. I only ate breakfast there - it was really good and very filling.

My wife and I along with my mother visited this inn for an evening meal. The food was poorly presented and poorly cooked. I had a completely tasteless Mushroom Stroganoff and my mother had breaded haddock which was overcooked to the extent that it was almost impossible to cut into it. This was a quick visit and one that we...

The staff give you a warm welcome on arrival and the rooms are of ample size. It's a little noises to sleep between 7pm and 9pm, but you are staying above a bar, so why sleep. The food in the place is amazing, I was chatting with locals from over 30 miles away when diving that stated they travel to...

Four of us had dinner here and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The lamb shank, the fishcakes and the steak pie were all excellent. We will definitely be back (and in fact have already made arrangements to go ...)

The Horseshoe provided everything I want in a village inn. The bedroom was modest but comfortable and quiet. The electric shower was the best of its kind I have used, hot and with a good pressure. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room. The WiFi signal was strong. The evening menu looked inviting, but we were being...

My friend and I were cycling up towards Oban and stayed the night at this pleasant village Inn. As with all old Inns the room sizes are limited but mine was very comfortable, quiet and had all the little extras. A clearly popular place to eat, we booked an evening meal which was excellent, if a little slow in coming....
