A very warm welcome and a lovely hotel. Off street parking, beautifully clean and well-equipped rooms which smell absolutely lovely and a very comfy bed. Delicious breakfast served by the best hosts who even prepared us an early breakfast as we had to catch a ferry. Breakfast had lots of tasty options and was a great start to the day. Stayed here this week and couldn’t fault a single thing. Great hotel, fast welcoming book in, comfy bed, free wifi, desk for laptop, brilliant recommendation for evening meal and even accommodated an off the menu breakfast request. No hesitation to visit again. Thanks Jim and Ele.

Could not fault this b&b, stayed 3 nights mid June. The rooms are well equipped, clean and comfortable. The owners, Jim & Ele are warm and welcoming and enthusiastic about the services they provide . Excellent, freshly prepared breakfast. Very good value for the money we paid. Don't hesitate to book here.

I stayed in the empire travel lodge this week and was really impressed. Room was extremely clean, well stocked with amenities and comfortable. Owners were a pleasure to speak to and breakfast was delicious. I found my stay excellent value for money, particularly in peak tourist season. It is clear from a 1-night stat that the owners are extremely passionate about their business as it shows in every area. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

This is a really excellent place to stay if you are visiting Lochgilphead. We stayed for three nights and can highly recommend it. * We booked directly via email. The process was straightforward and efficient. * Check in was quick, personal and comprehensive. * Room and facilities were all fine - clean, comfortable, efficient. The bed was especially comfortable. * Wifi was simple and worked perfectly. * Breakfast was all top- quality food, prepared to order. * The proprietors (Jim and Ele) look after the hotel personally, service is impeccable, friendly and helpful throughout. * The building has a distinctive and interesting character because it used to be a small local cinema. Lochgilphead is good base for exploring this beautiful part of Scotland. We did this by using the limited local bus services and a lot of walking; if you have a car or bike you can get further afield. Lochgilphead itself is a bit limited in terms of places to eat and drink - it is still clearly suffering from the impact of Covid so hopefully things will look up in this respect. But the Empire Travel Lodge is a great spot to stay, don't hesitate. …

My room was very clean and comfortable, complete with iron and ironing boards and a tray with 2 glasses and a corkscrew,as well as the usual tea/coffee etc. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of towels in the bathroom and a lovely long sized bath. Breakfast was made to order. I only had to mention my need for plant milk and Elie was ahead of me and already had it in stock. My friend’s special request for how her egg was to be cooked was also met with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble for this friendly couple and I warmly recommend Empire Lodge Lochgilphead.

We had a lovely stay at the Empire for a very poignant occasion. Ele and Jim are wonderfully warm hosts, providing us with the excellent recommendation of the Taj round the corner on the Loch front, and their breakfast was delicious! A perfect location with immaculate standards. Thank you!
