Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful location overlooking a stunning vista of a loch and ranges. Best breakfast I had in Scotland with home made bread, jam, yogurt and the best smoked salmon I have ever had. You have your own loungeroom and dining table looking out to that stunning view. Bedrooms were well appointed and large with an en suite. It was nice to go and visit their piglets and goats outside. The hosts provide and fabulous book with a list of itineraries across the days and there is plenty to do. Location is fantastic just nearby to Oban, plenty of castles around to visit. Great drive out to Glen Coe and back. I really couldn't recommend this place more, was by far the best accommodation I stayed in on my trip around Scotland

We (family of 4) stayed with Sofie and Matt for 4 days in July. We swam in Loch Etive; showered with delicious smelling Lemon Grass; sank onto couches to watch sunrise over Ben Cruachan; ate delicious fresh bread, fruit salad, home made yoghurt, porridge; and then went out to explore the mountains, lochs and seas of this beautiful part of Scotland. Each day sharing the stories of what we'd seen (dolphins, whale, seals) with Sofie or Matt who gave us truly helpful ideas as to what to do the next day, including booking a restaurant for us. We LOVE coming here. We feel very welcomed. Go visit! It is truly magical.

Excellent accommodation, very high standard. The rooms are great size with lovely shower and super comfy beds. Continental breakfast was brilliant with home made bread, yogurt and fresh fruit. As an extra bonus, the views are amazing. Sofie and Matt are perfect hosts, giving lots of info about the area and beyond. Can't fault it.

We stayed for 4 nights as a family of 4 ( 3 adults and a teenager) in this wonderful, modern, working family Croft. Communication beforehand was helpful and efficient. On arrival we were greeted by Matt and Sofie and it was clear from the outset, that all necessary Covid precautions were being taken, which was very reassuring. The accommodation is made up of two beautiful bedrooms and a shared eating/dining area, with stunning views to Loch Etive. The bedrooms and decor were so tastefully decorated and to the very highest standard with lots of lovely, homely touches. Everything had been thought of, even down to some wellies for exploring during inclement Scottish weather! Breakfast each day was lovely and included Sofie’s homemade breads, jam and yoghurts. We were even lucky enough to taste her and her daughter’s homemade meringues one day! Matt and Sofie are friendly and welcoming and willingly shared their knowledge of the area recommending days out and plenty of places to eat. All in all, we had a wonderful, relaxing stay in a beautiful part of Scotland and couldn’t have been better looked after. We definitely hope to return and would highly recommend.

Couldn’t fault it. The house is amazing - incredible attention to detail. Superb bedrooms and a great breakfast. So peaceful and comfortable. The nicest couple you could meet, they are full of information about the surrounding area. Everything about this place is a credit to them.
