We had a 2 night stay at The Claymore Hotel as part of a large group. The setting of the hotel was fantastic, nestled between Lochs Lomond and Long. Our room was okay and the beds quite comfortable. The evening meals were fine. The one thing that did let this hotel down was the breakfast. On our first morning I...

Many thanks for your comments on trip adviser. Your comments about the breakfast will be passed on to the kitchen and dining room and I can only apologise for the service you received. The fire alarm that went off in the early hours was caused by guests drying clothes and this immediately informs the hotel that there is a heat...

Returned from above hotel - a Bay Hotel - temperature hovering above freezing (2/3 degrees) both inside and outside. Randomly placed electric wall heaters in the public areas are akin to a sticking plaster when major surgery is required. The whole place is shabby and grubby. The room was heated with an electric wall heater which, once we had warmed the...

Many thanks for your review on trip adviser. Your review seems to contradict many of the previous complimentary reviews recently posted with the "basics" you mentioned being commented as good or even excellent as well as great value for money! I hope that your "inexpensive break" does not deter you from enjoying National Holidays coach trips again. Regards, Gary Watson.

I have just retuned from my first 'coach' holiday with National Holidays. I have to admit I was expecting our accommodation to be in a run down draughty old barn of a building, but how wrong can you be ! Admittedly parts of the hotel are in need of refurbishment but everything was absolutely spotless and the heating in the...

We stayed at this hotel from the 8th - 11th November with National Holidays. On arrival we were greeted by Dave on the bus who, created a brilliant first impression of the hotel. If it had been light when we arrived I'm sure Loch Long would have made a equal brilliant first impression, (on seeing the Loch the next morning...

Just returned from a 2 night break with national holidays.
