Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great stopping off point for trips to and from the Highlands and Islands. Owner very welcoming and helpful. Ensuite bedrooms comfortable and clean. Well cooked breakfast. Only downside was no heating on downstairs in dining room and lounge. We were there mid and late October, so it was quite chilly at night and first thing in the morning.

The location of this B&B is exceptional. It is a very old farmhouse and our room had far reaching views over fields with Highland cattle and mountains as a backdrop. A spacious, clean and comfortable room was just what we needed after a long drive. Good shower followed by a very nice breakfast cooked by our friendly host Shona. I would highly recommend.

Perfect stay for one night during our road trip! The location is secluded and quiet! Shona is friendly and welcoming, a perfect host! Our room was lovely and spacious! The views out towards the mountains were spectacular! Breakfast was lovely and kept us going the whole day! Also they have highland cattle on the grounds ... so they scored 5/5 as soon as I arrived!

Beautiful house in superb surroundings. feel so relaxed and at peace after staying here. Shona was very warm and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, we really could not have asked for more. Would love to have stayed longer and hope to be back.

We loved our 3 night our stay, we loved the bedrooms and surrounding countryside. The host Shona is most welcoming and we can see that she loves her job. The breakfast are not only great but we all sat on a communal table which is great like a farmhouse would be where you interact with other guests, fantastic. There is a lovely lounge area. The beds are the best and very comfortable and the bathroom amazing. We would love to go back on future travels to Scotland. This location is a great base for many trips. Eating out at local hotels was good too. The only thing to double check is how to find the road which leads to the Farmhouse. We recommend you look for the Caravan Park along the main road and you will see The Farmhouse sign opposite. Then its easy to locate. The Sat Nav (like ours took us up another lane) Hope to see you again Shona. Best Wishes Colin & Ev
