Detailed Reviews
My family and I had a lovey stay at Craigbank Guest House while doing the West Highland Way. After a tough day of walking, it was great to be greeted by Richard with a warm welcome. The rooms were fantastic - nicely decorated and very comfy beds. We particularly appreciated being able to have a bath, and breakfast the next morning was great quality. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

My husband and I stayed here last night while walking the West Highland Way. After a 14 mile walk with an agonising heel, it was an absolute delight to enter this immaculate property and my feet felt I was walking on cushions. The property would appear to be recently decorated including a lovely new bouncy carpet. We stayed in a junior suite and had lots of room with a sitting area with tv. Bath with shower in the en-suite. Hosts were very friendly. Nice pub/restaurant next door, very handy after all the walking. Breakfast was perfect and included all the things we would normally have at home. It was hard to tear ourselves away for our next 14 mile walk. Thank you very much and we will definitely return if we are in the area again.

What a treat to stay at that B&B after a whole day of walking! Beautiful room with a comfy bed and a spacious, clean bathroom was just what we needed. There was a lounge with soft music playing and biscuits to enjoy; and in the morning the we enjoyed a large, lovely breakfast. They even had handmade pretty little yoghurt pots. Very friendly proprietors. Definitely a thumbs up from me!

Came as guests...left as friends
If your looking for a warm genuine welcome where nothing is too much trouble then look no further, other than to make a note of their number. We have been to many hotels and guests houses during our lifetime, however never met a couple's hosting ability like Veronica and Collins. From the moment their door opens you are greeted with 2 beaming smiles and a warm welcome. On entering you are instantly taken care of which is really appreciated after a long drive. You are shown and orientated to your room with all the important features highlighted such as breakfast room and menus, ensuite bathroom and refreshments all of which allows you to relax and start to unwind, just like you would if you were kicking back at home.
Both Veronica and Collin have extensive knowledge of the area and share it generously with you. They intuitively direct you to what restaurants are available that evening, which is extremely valuable especially towards the end of the season.
Even though you could be staying in a full guesthouse, the experience Veronica and Collin provides you with makes you feel like your the only ones there. You almost feel surprised in seeing other guests at breakfast. This must be because the other guests are so well catered for (by the hosts) you just don't hear them until you see them at breakfast the next day.
We have had the pleasure in coming to Craig Bank Guest house for a number of years now and Veronicas and Collins consistent high standards in every aspect of hospitality means we have found our 'traveling home'. We know that in spending a night here we are guaranteed a good night's sleep, waking up feeling refreshed, washed with a full tum ready for the onward journey.
Veronica and Collin are an amazing duo who take such pride in their work and genuinely care about your stay. Other establishments both large and small could learn alot from these guys as they seam to get a lot of repeat custom, which suggests to me it's in how they execute their delivery...leaving people wanting more. Nevermind X factor these people have the 'Unique Factor' thank you both for the most amazing stays and we will look forward to many more in our 'traveling home'.

+1
We have just spent a wonderful night at Craigbank Guest House. What a lovely place to stay! Such a beautiful location, with superb rooms and such attentive hosts - Veronica and Colin.
Our en-suite room / suite was so tastefully decorated, with every convenience and immaculately clean. We slept so soundly in a very comfy bed.
In the morning, we were greeted warmly by Veronica and treated to a delicious breakfast - expertly cooked by Colin. (Perfect eggs and we can really recommend the black pudding!) We really appreciated the extra touches like the yoghurt granola pots, selection of cheeses and pastries.
We loved every minute of our stay at Craigbank and will definitely be returning!

We booked this on the same day we intended to stay and the proprietor was very helpful, saying we can arrive whenever we wish. Rooms are clean and have all the facilities you could need. There's a lounge with TV for guests to use if they wish. The nearby pub does evening and lunchtime meals if required. Crianlarich is down the hill from the WHW so it adds a little distance but the trip down and back up is worth it if you want to have a night tent free! Breakfast is included and plentiful, book your breakfast request on the slips the night before.

The Craigbank Guest house was recommended to us when walking the West Highland Way. Richard couldn’t do enough to help us.
The guest house itself is immaculate with everything you could ask for available to you use. We arrived late at night and we’re soaked through, but Richard took our wet clothing and boots and dried everything for us in time for our walk the next day.
The breakfast was lovely too.

This guest house is a little gem in the highlands run by Veronica and Colin, who are very friendly and welcoming.
We pre-arranged to drop off our suitcases after we got off the train from Oban as we stayed just one night at Craigbank en route from Oban to Glasglow and wanted to experience first hand the beautiful highland scenery.
They were very accommodating and gave us some tips for local walks and the scenery was just stunning.
Our room, the Junior Suite, had a small seating area which was actually bigger than it looked in the photographs. It had everything that you needed, with a freshly cooked Scottish breakfast the following morning.
We left wishing we had booked more than one night so we could explore more of the area.

My wife and I spent a night here as we were on the way to Oban for the ferry. We were really impressed by everything we saw and ate whilst there. The welcome was warm and genuine. The room was excellent, the bathroom was spotless and the bed very comfy. A really nice breakfast was presented the next morning to set us up for our continued travels. I can't fault this place at all and would recommend it to all discerning visitors.

we arrived tired and dirty after a long cycle ride and wondered if we were too unclean to stay here comfortably as its an immaculately kept B&B, needn't have worried as the owners very friendly and welcoming, a very good overnight stopover if you're cycling LEJOG or walking the West Highland Way. very good breakfast to get you going in the morning.
we had evening meal next door at the rod'n'reel pub , also recommended.
