It was just the two of us, but this room could easily hold more people. There are bunk beds off to the left, and the sofa has a pull-out bed.

We were staying one night and decided to book a superior double room at £110 including breakfast. I wasn’t disappointed! We arrived at just before 3 and when we walked in we were a bit surprised so find such stunning decor and was welcomed by a lovely lady giving us the key and explaining we were in room 2. The room was lovely, it was actually more like a suite with two (open) rooms. Nicely decorated and very comfy!
For a small hotel I was pleasantly surprised to say I couldn’t hear anything from the rest of the hotel, no doors slamming no noise from downstairs! We ate in the restaurant snd my lamb with crushed potatoes was one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long while! Service couldn’t have been better and at a price if £100 for 3 courses and drinks was reasonable! Thanks to everyone at the hotel who made our night so lovely! The only slight thing (I’m only saying this do maybe they can change them) the pillows were uncomfortable, snd in a waterproof cover which crinkled when I moved which woke me up, not a complaint just an observation.

his is a fabulous guest house located in the beautiful village of Killin. For a video review of our room, head over to You. Tube and search for “Tim and Matt’s Travel Reviews” for this and many other room reviews.

The guest house is located in the centre of the village with a few pubs dotted around. There is also a bar and restaurant inside the property which offered a great selection of drinks and the food was delicious, both dinner and breakfast.

There is free parking on site, however there did not appear to be a lot of spaces, but there is a village car park nearby should you need it (we were ale to park at the property without any problems).

We were greeted by a lovely lady who made us both feel very welcome and immediately at ease and at ‘home’. Everything was explained to us before making our way to our room. The room was very nicely decorated and bed very comfortable. This is great location to be based for exploring the local and further afield area.

If we were to visit Killin again, The Courie Inn would be the place we would want to stay.

We spent the New Year in Killin with a group of friends and stayed at The Courie Inn.
The hotel is truly wonderful, lovely warm & clean spacious rooms with great views of the surrounding countryside.
We ate in the restaurant every night of our stay, as there were so many lovely dishes to sample. The breakfast also didn’t disappoint with a fabulous Full Scottish on offer.
There is a warm and friendly well stocked bar, frequented by the locals and guests.
The hosts & staff could not do enough to ensure that all our needs were met.
We enjoyed our stay so much we would definitely return.

We reserved a table for four whilst on a visit to Killin. We have been here before so already knew that the quality of the meal would be top class. We were very impressed with the way the staff and set up for COVID 19 was implemented. It made us feel very safe and therefore relaxed. There is an entry system to control numbers, a one way system to the toilets. Each table is screened off. Hand sanitisers and masks to be worn if you leave your seat. The ordering is done on an app. We were very impressed. Unlike some other establishments in Killin that seem to think the world is back to normal??
The meal was brilliant as expected and the drink choice is excellent. Looking forward to our next visit already.

We had pre booked a few days in Killin. I called the Courie Inn to book a table for my birthday dinner not realising that Killin was in the Forth Valley health board area (licensed restaurants closed). I panicked and thought I would need to cancel our trip. However, the lovely lady was very helpful, reassuring and spent time on the phone sharing her knowledge of Killin and suggesting dinner options (even although we weren’t actually staying at the Courie Inn). On Wednesday night we got a takeaway meal from the Courie Inn. It was a lovely meal and well presented. I also received a complimentary piece of chocolate/caramel cake for my birthday which was a lovely surprise. It was delicious.

Thanks for going above and beyond and making my birthday special in these strange times. We will definitely be back.

We headed back to Scotland to see 2019 out and to see the new decade begin up here in Killin, the hospitality was to the same exacting high-quality standard provided to us last year. Our room was a large family room with an en-suite shower room. The staff were warm and welcoming just as they were last year.

The breakfasts were hearty with something on the menu to suit all palates.

The bar is fully stocked with an atmosphere to match, in short, this establishment catered for all of our needs.

Highly recommended for those wanting quality accommodation whilst staying in and around Loch Tay.

Stayed one night with my sister and her dog. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff who were very attentive and engaged. A lot of work has gone into making the inn COVID Secure and we felt very safe. Nice meal and breakfast. The inn is nicely decorated and clean and fresh. Thank you for a great stay keep up the good work.

We stayed one night in June 2021 in the Breadalbane room. It was a spacious enough room, and the en suite was compact but with a good shower. We sat in the bar for dinner as we had a dog visiting along with a friend. The atmosphere was nice, great vegan options and the bar staff were very attentive and helpful. Husband had the penne arriabatta which he said was wonderful. Pasta with penne for the vegan was great too. The only disappointment is the sound proofing (or lack of) between the bedrooms. We could hear every word all night, and when our next door neighbours got louder and we asked them to lower the noise, it was still noisy, and along with the other nighttime antics we would have preferred not to have to have endured. I know it’s not the guest house’s fault that the folks in the rooms were noisy, but I would have hoped for better insulation for the price of the room.

We have recently returned from a wonderful two night stay at The Courie Inn, Killin. The room we had was very spacious, clean and had a fantastic shower! The bar area was cosy and along with the dining area, both tastefully decorated. We had booked ahead for dining here before arriving and with the limited availability of other restaurants in the area we decided to book our evening meal for our second night also.
Sooooo very pleased we did!
The food was Fantastic! We enjoyed the haggis fritter and Cullen skink-starter, for the mains, poached haddock and king prawns (this had a lovely spicy tomato sauce) fish &chips, slow cooked lamb rump and steak . All cooked to our liking.
The breakfast had to be pre ordered the evening before , with an agreed time for dining in the morning - this was Brilliant! It helped the efficiency and smooth running of the kitchen during a busy period but did not hamper the quality and freshness of the breakfast !
To summarise, Great location, spacious studio room , quality food and their biggest asset by far, the Amazing Staff!! Every one there made our lovely stay that little bit more special!

What a wonderful place! I was a little hesitant to book 4 nights in Killin because I didn't know much about it, but it was a wonderful location for day trips to a number of places like Inverary Castle, Oban, or to just sit by the falls. Lynn greeted us warmly on arrival and after chatting a bit, we discovered our room was magnificent. During our stay we also enjoyed the lounge a few times, and the restaurant twice (make reservations - it is popular). Great experience and I would highly recommend staying here.
