Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely Killin it! Food was superb, staff incredible. 10/10 recommend My friend and I were looking for a place to eat before heading up Ben Lawers, and we found so much more! An incredible time, the atmosphere was great, and the food had the perfect portion/price/taste ratio! Highly recommend

We had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant and a drink in the bar. Friendly staff. I have knocked a star of as the menu was limited and if you like fish your fine. I don't like fish so I only had a choice of 2 meals .

Amazing hospitality- from the welcome to the pre ordered meal in the evening and the the breakfast- the hostess was so attentive and willing to help. The food was homely and really lovely. The rooms were well cleaned and lovely addition of the Tunnocks mash-mellow tea cake !!

Visited the Courie Inn mid June with my Partner and our 2 dogs. To say they were accommodating is an understatement! We got a beautiful room with everything you could need, comfortable bed, couch, shower and even a Bath! Alongside it all being wonderfully decorated and feeling like a luxury homestay. We ate at the Bar in the Courie inn on the Friday night and the food was outstanding. I had the surf and turf and my partner had the fish and chips. Even better there was enough fish for me to finish off hers!! The dogs could've even had some! They have a brilliant selection of Drinks behind the bar and the staff are more than knowledgeable on what to recommend. They also had great local knowledge and recommended we Visited the music festival while it was on and forwarded us to an excellent walk for the dogs. Alongside it being a lovely stay everyone we encountered was lovely and we were truly made to feel we were at home and comfortable in the hotel. 10/10 would stay here again!!!!

We were blown away by the friendly and helpful welcome at the hotel when we arrived late from our long cycle for our table at this lovely hotel. Help was given to store our bikes. The rooms were beautiful and the chef stayed late to feed us. The food was delicious. We couldn’t have asked for more!

Wow! I can't praise the team at The Courie Inn highly enough - the incredibly warm and friendly reception starts immediately you open the front door - and continues all the way through to the moment you leave, so much so, you simply want to stay! I had broken down in Killin around 4pm on 5th May while taking my 92 year old mother home to Glenfarg. The Courie Inn was more than a refuge, the beautiful exterior of the building suggested care and attention and from the moment we parked up and enquired inside about taking shelter while we arranged to have the car recovered, we could not have been made any more welcome. The amazing team led by the proprietors, Lynn and Michael made sure my Mother was comfortable, then served a wonderful meal and drinks treating us as if we lived in the village or were family. The reception area, bar and dining room are all beautifully decorated in relaxing tones, the seating areas in the well stocked bar work well and the dinning room has high ceilings setting off the traditional architecture. Importantly there is a well balanced menu covering a wide range of preferences and needs - and everything we tried was delicious. The warm welcome, excellent service. wonderful food and happy, un-stuffy atmosphere made us forget we had broken down! The customers at the bar included tourists and The Courie Inn regulars, all creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere - once they heard we had broken down, they even helped arrange a for a local vehicle recovery company to assist - we could not have asked for more. Although all of the rooms wee booked, the owners, Lynn & Michael, made their own cottage available for the night providing seamless hospitality from the moment we arrived. The following morning, an excellent breakfast served (to a background of relaxing music) by the excellent and friendly Courie Inn team set the tone for a very relaxed 370 mile recovery back to Worcestershire. Nothing was too much trouble and the owners, their team and this evidently well managed business cannot be praised highly enough, so much so, I was almost glad we had broken down! I will certainly go back and would recommend booking in to enjoy the warm & friendly welcome of the 'Courie Inn.

What a wonderful place! I was a little hesitant to book 4 nights in Killin because I didn't know much about it, but it was a wonderful location for day trips to a number of places like Inverary Castle, Oban, or to just sit by the falls. Lynn greeted us warmly on arrival and after chatting a bit, we discovered our room was magnificent. During our stay we also enjoyed the lounge a few times, and the restaurant twice (make reservations - it is popular). Great experience and I would highly recommend staying here.

Stayed here last night on a business trip. Family run hotel where all the staff are fantastic, we couldn't have felt more welcome. Really nice rooms, great shower and lots of nice touches with teacakes water etc. The dinner menu has everything you could possibly fancy and everything coming out looked/smelt amazing....Myself and my colleague had the fish & chips and it was cracking. Breakfast in the morning was great all cooked to order, piping hot and quality ingredients. We will most definitely be coming back here.
