Absolutely amazing little gem with views to die for . Stayed in some luxurious places around Scotland this one tops them all. The host Kim and Fraser made the stay even better by there warm reception which made it feel home from home , they even invited us for birthday drinks in there private summer house on the loch which was fantastic even had my partner a birthday card ( lovely touch ) . Ideal base for The surrounding area lots of walks and things to do and see . The cottage was well equipped could not find fault with anything spotlessly clean and spacious main attraction the French doors onto the patio area woth panoramic views ( we couldn’t wait to be back every day to watch the ever changing colors ) . Definitely recommend and we will be retuning Thanks Kim and Fraser

Thank you for choosing to stay at Briar Steading in Lochearnhead to celebrate your partners birthday Julie. Autumn is a wonderful time of the year and we are really pleased that you witnessed the colour and light from sunrise to sunset on Loch Earn. The lounge French and bedroom patio doors enable guests to witness so many things as you know, including the lit sculptures and starry nights. As you can imagine these colours change all year round. It was our pleasure to welcome and meet you both and it was fun to chat and exchange stories, lochside on the birthday. People always ask "is it a special brithday"? Our answer is...they all are!. Thank you for sharing your lovely photographs. Our very best wishes and hope to pick up where we left off some time in the future. Kim and Fraser

Thank you for choosing to stay at Little Briar with your gorgeous beagle. We are delighted that you and your pet enjoyed the views. We chose to secure the patio with wire coated fencing under the wood so that pets could continue to enjoy the views and not feel hemmed in. We are delighted that you enjoyed your first experience of Briar Cottages and thank you for sharing your kind words and sun filled photographs. It would be our pleasure to see you all back here at some time in the future. Best wishes, Kim and Fraser

Just returned from a fabulous week here in little Briar ( pet friendly accommodation). So relaxing listening to the wildlife here, ideal for dog owners, there's a great walk to take your dog/s,, goes on for miles, the accommodation was spotless, everything you could wish for, the enclosed patio area is a great touch, making it more private and secure for your pet. Kim and Fraser are the most lovely people we've met, they will do anything for you to make your stay even better, advice on the local area, shops, places to visit, etc. If you like to get away from it all and enjoy peace and tranquility, then this is the place. We thoroughly enjoyed it, a week wasn't enough. Thank you once again, Kim and Fraser. Mike, Michelle and Daisy xx

Late to the review game....... Stayed at the little briar cottage for our honeymoon as we didn't know what the world would be like comming out of lockdown. BEST STAY EVER. Our hosts were so welcoming and answered any questions about the surrounding area. Our 2 dogs loved the area with a private garden for them to sniff around in and their own private entrance to the loch they were spoilt princess. Plenty to do within the area. We are back in June and are already counting down the weeks. The cottage is ideal for 2/3 very clean and kept to a high standard. Enclosed gated area with the most fantastic views. A beautiful kept garden by the hosts with a stream running down the side of the garden. A tranquil peaceful area away from the hustle of the world xx

We were looking for a relaxing holiday, but also looking for Loch access, so our puppy could have first experience of swimming. The owners were so pleasant and welcoming, polite and charming, any issue would have been solved with ease, had we come across any. We stayed for a week, and could not fault the stay. We arrived, and even found a bottle of white wine in the fridge, that saw us relax further on the porch. Our puppy loved the private gangway into the Loch too, as well as the huge back (hillside) garden that provides stunning views, and the porcb that she could have an afternoon snooze. Have had no hesitation in booking to visit next year, and already can't wait.

Thank you for choosing Little Briar Cottage and for taking the time to share your first experience at Briar Cottages on Loch Earn. We are delighted that your puppy took to swimming via our garden slipway and that she enjoyed the extensive run around paddock and stream in the rear garden. We are pleased that the fenced and gated patio and awning outside the cottage enabled you to relax without concern for your pet. Thank you for sharing your lovely photographs and for booking your return visit. We look forward to welcoming you all back to experience the ever changing scenery in a different season in 2023. Your pet had to contend with a few visiting rabbits this time. It might be a stag or deer next time! Kindest wishes, Kim and Fraser Proven

I've stayed here twice now and never want leave. It is the most beautiful location right on the loch, with stunning views from the cottage. The whole cottage has views out over the water. There is plenty to do around with lots of lovely places to eat just a short drive away. We took our paddle board this time and it was amazing just being able to get up and walk straight down to the loch and go for a paddle. Bonus is there is a watersports place just 150m down the road offering all-sorts of fun activities. Also a putting green for the guests to use that sits right by the water. The hosts are both just incredible. Such warm and welcoming people who truly make this such a special place to come and stay. We can't wait to come stay again.

Thank you very much for your kind words. We are delighted that you enjoyed yourself in Briar Steading and it was our pleasure to welcome your family back again. It was lovely to see you utilising the garden on Loch Earn for paddle boarding and fishing too. We agree it is very convenient to be able to hire equiplement and wetsuits from the Loch Earn Wakeschool just a stroll away. Have a great summer and do get in touch any time when you are ready to have another lochside adventure. Our very best wishes Kim and Fraser

Little Briar cottage was the perfect location for us to explore the beautiful surroundings of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and further afield. No end of mountain walking, as well as lower level and forest tracks. Cosy and well equipped cottage with beautiful views across Loch Earn, made all the more welcoming by Fraser and Kim, the perfect hosts! (Photo: View down Loch Earn from above St. Fillans)

We are delighted that you discovered and enjoyed so many walks and tracks in this area of our National Park. There are plenty to choose from. As per your lovely photograph, the high points enable superb views over Loch Earn. As you now know, the beautiful south facing loch views from the cottages change all the time. Each season brings a differnt light, colours and magic along with a variety of birds and wildlife. We are pleased that you enjoyed the comforts of Little Briar. We worked hard on upgrades and improvements over the last year or two including the new fenced stone patio and awning, a new kitchen and equipment plus soft furnishings flooring and furniture. Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure to meet you and we are truly grateful to you for taking the time to share your experiences and photographs around Little Briar Cottage and Loch Earn.

I don’t normally do this and write reviews, but on this occasion, I felt it was what I should do, and tell you of a place like no other... We have never been to the same place, in the whole wide world, more than once... Part from visiting my family in Eastbourne, I cant forget them... But this place, this haven, this beautiful part of the world, that Kim and Fraser have so kindly created, and shared with us... We have now had our 11th, wonderful and amazing holiday here... and this time we brought our family to show them why we have tried to come back here every year ! We would normally just stay in the Steading, the bigger of the 2x cottages, but this time we had both of them, Little Briar and the Steading, plenty of room for 5x adults. Both have been created to a very high standard, and are so nice and very cosy, like being home from home, everything that you could need, if needed, and the views from either cottage are absolutely spectacular ! I celebrated my 40th birthday here, a few years ago now, but my partner has just celebrated his 50th birthday here... Kim and Fraser, are the fonts of all knowledge of the surrounding areas, and happy to suggest somewhere new to try or visit... They welcome us each time, with open arms, and make us feel like we are part of their lovely gorgeous extended family... Their neighbours are pretty great too ! I would like to say a huge thank you to Kim and Fraser, and hope that we can continue to visit Briar Cottages, for many more years to come...

Wow! What a fabulous review from the heart. We love welcoming people back and it was our honour to have you here to celebrate the 50th and other special occasions over the years. You were one of the first in Briar Steading after it was built in 2011 and will have watched the gardens evolve. Thank you so much for believing in us and for introducing the next generation. You are fefinitely honoury members of the Briar Cottages family! We actively keep up to date with new services, attractions and events. We know local business owners by their first names. Our tourism group and the Village newspaper helps us keep ahead too. I am so pleased that you have met some of our friends and neighbours over the years. You must be honourary villagers by now :). We are proud of our community folk. They make time for people and are ambassadors of local knowledge in Lochearnhead and the neighbouring villages. We respect that reviews are not for everyone and you will know that we also have guest review books in our cottages. So an enoromous thank you for taking the time to share your experiences here. We look forward to seeing you again with open arms and will have a think about new and exciting places for you to experience. We have enjoyed your company and stories over the years. Our very best wishes, have a great summer and pass on our best to the family. Kim and Fraser xx

As beautiful as the pictures, if not more so. We stayed in Little Briar, which was incredibly comfortable for the two of us. Ideal for relaxing and taking in the scenery but also ideal as a base for getting out and exploring Scotland thanks to it being based in right in the middle of the country. Kim & Fraser are the best hosts you could hope for, so friendly, always on hand to make you feel at home and offer their expert advice on trips out and the best food spots. The facilities in Little Briar are everything you’ll need. Immaculate throughout with comfortable beds and a modern kitchen and bathroom, fast and reliable WiFi and radiators that warm the place up in no time, along with a covered outdoor area it sit and take in the view. We (sadly) didn’t have a pet with us ourselves, but there is no compromise on cleanliness, you’d never know a paw had stepped through the door. It was our first stay at Briar on family recommendation but it certainly won’t be our last!

Thank you both very much for your lovely review of Little Briar Cottage on Loch Earn. We are delighted that you enjoyed your first visit on a family recommendation. We are also delighted that you found the cottage comfortable and mentioned facilities like the new kitchen that was fitted this year. We do attract couples with no pets as well as guests with pets and work hard to enure a fresh and clean experience for everyone on arrival. We built the partial awning during lockdown so that guests could choose to sit out on the patio or move back to the sheltered area as desired. Kind of you to share your experience, It was our pleasure to meet you both and good luck with lifes adventures. Kim mand Fraser.

From the moment we arrived and saw the beautiful loch stretched out in front of us through both bedroom and livingroom room windows we felt relaxed. The luxury accommodation had absolutely everything we could think of or could possibly need and want. We spent time pondering the local villages of Killin, Comrie (beautiful bakery, butcher and green grocer) and Calender (check out all the little shops for loads of bargains). We played pool and had some food (delcious desserts) metres away from the cottage at the local hotels (150 steps!) and enjoyed fishing, watersports (despite the water being chilly!) It was the perfect location for our huge Easter egg hunt. The host could not have been more accommodating and helpful throughout the week and are so cheerful and fun they feel like family! A lovely time had by all spending a week relaxing and rejeuvating in the lovely surroundings. Thank you Briar Cottages.
