Carry on camping !! Amazing weekend sadly we had to cut short as the weather just wasn’t on our side, Friday night myself and a male friend managed to pitch our tents( his toty wee one man number and my mahoosive four man mansion) might add my tent was up in half the time it took Mr seasoned all year Mountaneer to pitch his up !! Anyhow we managed before the torrential rain hit with vengeance lol the pitches were ok not the best lots of stones in the ground under the trees on a bit of a slope because the flat areas were mostly flooded. But that was us sorted for a Friday to Monday weekender, great night spent in the bar everyone was super friendly customers and staff alike, we had already stopped off for dinner before we arrived at the site approx 8pm but the menu looked good and we were defo looking forward to food on the Saturday. Friday nights sleep wasn’t the best lol between someone snoring in a tent nearby and the tent about ready to fly off to OZ I swear the winds were soooo bad can’t believe I forgot my earbuds ! Plenty were bought the following morning from the shop, oh and the Friday night they managed to square me up with some gas canisters to make my bedtime cuppa as mine had got lost in transit somehow. Saturday the sun was splitting the skies which unfortunately meant the temp very quickly started to drop in the evening ! More friends had arrived in camper and a great night was had at the bar watching the rugby World Cup, we all had full bellies the food did not disappoint, the boy had a tent mate for the evening and they had super insulated mats etc but I opted to put my airbed in the boot of my car and do car camping instead (I know !! ) the bonus being the car park was also nearer the toilets, which were immaculate and very warm the showers were hot but water pressure wasn’t the best. Sunday it was just the two of us left and the weather wasn’t looking promising so we decided to call it quits while we were ahead and head home. Great weekend with great friends and getting to meet new faces

I walked in to Beinglas after 40 gruelling km on the WHW very happy to have one of the hotel rooms. The staff at the bar (late check in) were extraordinarily helpful and kind. The room was excellent and was the only room I stayed in with Scotland with a fan which was fantastic on those occasions you need to keep windows closed for midges. Well stocked shop and excellent breakfast.

Stayed in a hiking hut as a solo traveller on WHW. Location - simply stunning, couldn't have asked for better, sound of the waterfall running as you sleep. Also right at the end of the inveroranan part of trail, believe me it was nice not to have to detour Service - very welcoming and friendly Amenities - the stagger inn was great, food menu was varied and the breakfast albeit £15 was genuinely top notch. The little shol they had was well thought out, seemed to have everything you would possibly need. Only issue was the showers/toilets let them down, not awful but much in need of renovation in comparison to the rest of the site. Likewise the drying room was in the shared facilities so not great. Accommodation - the hiking hut was just lovely, simple but exactly as advertised, had heating and a fan, windows, altogether great. All in all would recommend!

My recent experience at Beinglas Campsite unfortunately left me extremely disappointed. Here's why: Firstly, the customer service provided by the staff at Beinglas Campsite was far from satisfactory. Their lack of courtesy and professionalism marred what should have been a pleasant stay. It was evident that they were disinterested and inattentive, failing to address enquiries/concerns promptly. This lack of basic politeness and helpfulness significantly detracted from the overall experience. Secondly, the cleanliness standards at Beinglas Campsite were well below expectations. The communal facilities, especially the kitchen area, were not maintained to an acceptable standard. Dirty dishes were left unattended, and hygiene appeared to be a low priority. This not only created discomfort but also raised concerns about health and safety, particularly in light of the ongoing global health situation. In summary, my visit to Beinglas Campsite, while promising on paper with its amenities, fell short of expectations due to the discourteous and unhelpful staff and the subpar cleanliness standards. I hope that improvements in customer service and hygiene will be made to enhance the overall experience for future visitors.

This campsite is just a stop off for people doing the West Highland Way. Don't stay there otherwise. There is only 2 female toilets for the whole site so you have to queue and wait for all the hikers to get out of the cubicles. The kitchen room had vermin scuttling around the floor because there is so much food left around by hikers. We chose to stay in the quiet camping area away from the noisy pub but the white yurts are in this section. So from 4pm to 4am we were subjected to a loud couple shouting, playing euro dance beats on a speaker and running back and forth to the pub with their pint glasses. There was no warden enforcing the supposed 10.30pm curfew.

Great campsite. Lovely setting, great staff, good facilities , good food. The wee pub on site is a gem of a place. The queueing at the bar can be a bit of a nightmare during meal times ,but the staff do their best to serve in good time. Bit to death by midges though, lol. Will return next year.

I had a terrible experience at this site, staying for one night whilst driving a VW Campervan back towards Glasgow from the Highlands. In summary, do not bother if you’re anything other than a tent looking for a very budget experience. Upon arrival it was clear this was not going to be pleasant. The site itself is an unkempt field and there is no order whatsoever to the pitches. There are limited motorhome pitches also but this is one row at the side of the very narrow driveway that upon entry we assumed was the car park for checking in. There was no concept at all of being even 2ft apart let alone 6m from each others pitches, as in other sites. There are absolutely no signs or information anywhere on site and the whole place is complete chaos. We arrived at around 5pm it was unbelievably busy and crowded and there was no sign of any reception or check in point. The on-site shop was also closed and there were no staff anywhere apart from in the on-site pub so I queued for TWENTY MINUTES, only to be told I couldn’t check in because they’d literally just re-opened the shop for check-ins. Once in the shop, the flustered guy was trying to be nice (can’t be said for any of the other staff I encountered) but he had no idea what was going on and was very nervous. He couldn’t even work the till, people were just walking in and giving him money for pitches, there was no hint of a booking system (they are on Pitchup) or whether they were at capacity and no direction once paid - this place is purely “how many people can we fit in that field?” We were even told to “not go too far into the fields because there is a risk of the site becoming boggy and flooding from nearby Loch.” The toilet and shower block next door had huge queues and are way too small for the number of people they’ve fit onto the site. The pub although a seemingly nice touch was very loud and raucous even when we arrived at 5pm and all the tables were reserved even though I was told they did not do that when I emailed ahead. Driving onto the field to find a place to park up, there really was no room and again, no signage or organisation (e.g. camper-vans here, tents here, etc). Apparently there are two or maybe even four fields for camping which is a concern as the facilities would not be able to cope if these were anywhere near full. At this point, despite having no other option we decided to turn around and leave what can only be described as a chaotic and filthy festival campsite. The only reason I think anyone would like this site is not trying anything else like those run by Camping and Caravanning clubs (which are only a few quid more in price) - there are some lovely sites as little as half an hours drive away. We managed to persuade the warden at Ardlui (10 mins away) to let us on a corner of his site but even this site wasn’t great either and another case of “how many people can we pack in.” I think because the Loch Lomond and Trossachs area doesn’t allow wild camping, all the sites in this area can afford to be sub par.

This campground is a great place to stay for hikers and people looking for a relaxing and laid-back experience. The campground is surrounded by waterfalls and is located on the Highland Way. You can hike to Loch Lamond from the campground. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food, beverage choices, and service at the Stagger Inn is impressive. The bathrooms were clean, especially for being a stopping point for hikers on the Highland Way. Two precautions to mention; the campground has a narrow entrance and bridge to cross, so be aware if you are driving a 4-berth motorhome, and the midges are intense in the evening and a midge head net is recommended.

Stopped here randomly on our way through Scotland and was greeted by a lively bar and an amazing singer. One of the staff members Georgia made our evening, her voice was incredible. Had a blast at the karaoke night

We only stayed here for 1 night. Lovely location and great selection of stuff in the on site shop. Toilets/showers could’ve been cleaner. Right next to a beautiful river and really handy for Loch Lomond.
