My wife and myself together with friends whilst on Holiday here in Portpatrick visited the Restaurant and bars several times during our stay here and thoroughly enjoyed our visits here and were made to feel comfortable and welcome.

We stayed at the Crown for three nights last weekend on a golf trip and really enjoyed ourselves. The double rooms (used as singles) at the rear of the hotel were fine and appear to have been renovated in the past couple of years. Only downside with the rooms were the thin walls which means you can hear every word...

I live locally and had friends coming to stay. So did a trial run a couple of weeks ago. Things were just about OK which for round here is good. Took friends on Wed; 6 of us, dire. Real ale awful, fish and chips same, cod au poivre a waste of a fish. No complaints about service but will not...

Called in for a meal today and really should have walked straight out but we were hungry. Female member of staff behind the bar with head down doing something below the bar shouts out "who's next". I thought she was joking as I was the only one standing at the bar. She then said it again without looking up. I...

If you want good food and good music, this is the place for you. Excellent sea food and one of my friends stating that the fillet steak he ate was the best he had ever had. The surroundings say pub but the food says first class restaurant, highly recommended.

Ate at this place on Saturday 21st, Service was pretty poor had to ask for everything from water to bread from the "very young lassies" put in charge of the Restaurant. Surly, rude and arrogant was not the word. Our friends were embarrassed. We ate then left ASAP. My partners meal was in fairness excellent value , She opted for the...

We didn't stay here but I couldn't find a section for the dining part. Three of us went, all had something different. Each dish was well presented and served. Prices are reasonable. The menu is varied and uses local produce. The seafood looks particularly attractive. Will visit again.

A group of friends had a weekend break. The rooms are basic although they have started renovating them. The breakfast was plentiful and excellent. Had an evening meal in the restaurant which was good but try Campbell's along the road which proved to be cheaper and better. The bar area is vibrant with live music and friendly people. Staff were...

We chose this from a range of places to eat, seeking seafood, which we get so little chance to eat fresh living so far from the sea. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and although late lunchtime they offered their Big House Seafood platter, normally only available in the evenings on a la carte menu, but as they were not...
