Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My Husband and I have just returned from Queensberry. We stayed for a 3 night break with our wee Frenchie, Cookie, in one of the glamping pods. The glamping pod was fantastic! Very cosy, great TV reception, excellent shower room, excellent kitchen facilities with pots, cooking utensils, cutlery, plates etc all provided. There are 6 pods and they all have a large decking area and overlook a stunning beach and the Solway Firth. The site itself is immaculate, very well maintained and is open 11 months of the year. Pets are welcome, however they are not allowed in the main bar area which is a shame. There is lots of seating outside where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or drink with your pup but if the weather is not great, I would recommend you bring some wine with you and enjoy a drink in your accommodation. There are lots of beautiful walks and the site is nice and flat for anyone who has mobility issues. The staff are very helpful, very polite. The nearest towns we ventured to were Annan and Lockerbie. Both had many cafes and pubs which welcomed dogs. We personally would recommend Cafe 91 in Lockerbie which is dog friendly and serves delicious food! We've booked up again for next May. Hopefully the weather will be kinder as our break in November was very wet and windy. Definitely highly recommend!

Let down by terrible wifi which doesn’t connect at all or isn’t able to be used for basic streaming. Owners and public both terrible and unforgivable in this day and age! Asked at reception and was told if too many people use it then it’s slow, this is not good enough. Park is lovely but if it’s wet and dark and I want to stream a few movies in my caravan then I should be able to

Had a lovely two night stay on a Dunlin motorhome pitch. The site is in a beautiful location with direct beach access. The whole place is immaculate, the toilets and showers were the nicest I’ve ever seen and were lovely and warm. Our dog loved the dog play field with the agility toys. We had a drink at The sandpiper which was very nice. All in all with a beautiful location and really friendly staff we will definitely stay again .

Very welcoming experience at check in and very clean caravan made us instantly relaxed. Location was stunning and perfect for our chilled family weekend with the dog. Dog park, doggy shower area, lots of water bowls and lots of like-minded holiday makers made our puppy welcome too. Restaurant/bar area was beautiful, warm and relaxing. Food was always very tasty. The staff were amazingly chilled and great at their jobs (special mention to Cameron and Josh). Nothing was too much trouble. Small shop area had the basics too. Only criticisms would be that most of the dog waste bins are at the opposite end of the park from the reception area, so most of my walks were with a bag in hand. Also, the restaurant menu is quite restricted and not all the options were on the clipboards (had to look for the kids ones a few times). Nevertheless, we will certainly be back to Queensberry Bay!

Absolutely beautiful site. We stayed in a pod and it really was 4 star. Lovely little touches like tea coffee milk. Towels on the bed like swans. Gorgeous view over the solway firth. Powfoot itself is beautiful. Would definitely recommend. We will certainly be back. Thankyou for a lovely holiday ❤️

Beautiful location looking over the beach. Accommodation was immaculately clean and a very comfortable large caravan. We loved it as a base. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a breakfast and some drinks in the restaurant. It’s a lovely venue light and airy. Loved that it was quiet and people on the caravan park were so friendly. Brilliant price for a wonderful break.

Fantastic peaceful, relaxing and clean site with lots of greenery and sea views. Our caravan was immaculately clean and the facilities left (soap, shampoo, towels, milk, tea and coffee) were a lovely little touch. Lovely little shop. We had a take away from the sandpiper restaurant which was delicious. I would recommend walking the whole site to reveal hidden gems like the water fountain which my children loved visiting at dusk. We will definitely be returning back in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.
