Brora Lodge is a longtime favoutite of the Happytraveller030 clan. We love the friendly atmosphere, the nothing-is-too-much-trouble approach of hosts Peter and Helen, the high standards of room preparation, and Peter's brilliant breakfasts. If this sounds glowing it's because there's nowhere better in Wigtown - and we've seen a few before we found Brora Lodge!

This was my second visit to this fine establishment. Helen and Peter are brilliant hosts, the place is so clean you can eat off the floor ( if you are mad enough to want to ). It's incredibly comfortable and you have every last thing you could wish for: copious hot water and showers with excellent pressure that actually work!...

Thank you Polly, our sense of humour may be good as you say, we do like to smile, who doesn't of course, but it takes 2 to Tango, and having guests like you wanting a good friendly time makes everything so easy. And fun. We enjoyed making your stay a pleasure as much as you enjoyed being with us. Looking...

There was a warm welcome upon arrival and we were offered off street parking. Tea/coffee was brought to us in the private and very comfortable lounge. Our bedroom was comfortable with an en suite shower room. Breakfast choices were impressive, tasty and my gluten free menu was well catered for. Overall, if anyone is hesitating over which B & B to...

My 3 night break in Wigtown for some walking and especially to go to the book shops was greatly enhanced by the hospitality I received at Brora Lodge. The food was excellent, my single room cleaned each day, the views from the breakfast room fantastic across the bay. The hosts are happy to warmly chat away, or let you squirrel...

Having stayed here previously I had a good idea what to expect. I wasn’t disappointed a real home from home good sized en suite rooms that are spotlessly clean, the guest lounge is a bonus with a huge tv. The breakfast was a good choice with plenty of options me personally I went for the haddock and the haggis both...

The hosts were just the right amount of friendly. The view was beautiful in a west coast of Scotland sort of way. This is situated a comfortable stroll from the centre of the village and just up a hill from trail that runs past the former harbour and martyrs memorial. The rooms were immaculate and the breakfast delicious.
