My wife and I (plus Pug Dog) stayed 2 nights at the Royal Oak over the Easter weekend and were really grateful to have found the perfect place for us. Nice comfortable double room and en suite (Room 3), friendly reception and service, car park, a superb choice of beers, great pub food and all set in the beautiful setting...

I bought a Groupon voucher last November & booked up. There was only a twin room available for the weekend we wanted to visit which wasn't ideal for a newly engaged couple, but we agreed that the time away was definitely worth it & enjoyed quality time away from our busy lives. We arrived at just after 1pm and were...

Stayed for one night the end of Feb with a groupon voucher, we arrived early afternoon and were taken straight to our room by friendly staff. We went out for a walk soon after arriving, it's very quiet and peaceful and we had a lovely couple of hours in the countryside before watching the Wales game in the lounge. My...

Bought via Groupon and booked the two days in the week as all weekends filled really fast. Very quiet and accessible via a tarred single track road for a good few miles. The proprietor and his staff were very friendly and helpful and the inn itself was a wonderful place to stay in with a large open log fire. Our...

We stayed for three nights at the beginning of February on a really good value Groupon deal. The double room 1 was very comfortable with a nice en suite. Breakfasts were superb and the evening meals by the log fire were also of a very high quality and very tastey. The reservoir about six miles away is well worth a...

Good clean accomodation with lots of character. Good real ale available and food is well above average. Stayed for two nights and if staying longer would have been happy to try more on the menu. The laver bread potato cake breakfast is excellent and so is the 'classic' and the bubble and squeak. The Lamb Shepherds Pie is a delight....

After seeing the offer on Groupon I was a bit doubtful but booked anyway as we changed our plans at the last moment and decided to start our holidays a few days earlier than planned.. On the way from Llandovery we thought we got lost.. It was about 5.30PM and pitch black everywhere.. It felt like driving for miles.. But...

Exceptional two night stay at this charming cosy inn and such great value too!! Made to feel very welcome by the owners and staff alike. The real ales were well kept and lucky for us it was the end of a beer fest so more than an ample array to choose from3! Food was just fantastic: simple straight forward dishes...

Stopped over one night on return from Ammanford to Stockport. Really good pub/inn with good beers and range of food (especially fish) that I had not expected. Room OK. Good atmosphere with locals in the bar. Owner and staff great. Will go out of my way to stay here again. There aren't many inns as good as this for the...

Thank you for writing such lovely comments about our pub and we are always pleased to hear that we have met your expectations. We are very proud to use Towy Fish in Carmarthen who always supply very fresh quality produce. The room you stayed in is basic on purpose so we can offer it at a very reasonable rate, but...
