Travellers' Choice
Are you looking for a family run, friendly and extremely clean B&B in the heart of North Wales? Then you've come to the right place. We are Joel and Tracey, and this is our luxury boutique guest house in the picturesque town of Colwyn Bay, where you'll find that no request is too much trouble. As welcoming to new faces as we are to our many returning guests, our aim is to make your stay here as enjoyable as possible. Colwyn Bay Hotel Rooms: All of our rooms are individually decorated to give you great choice, whether you're a lone traveller on a business trip, or a family looking for a break by the sea. Our spacious family room sleeps up to two adults and three children, making us a great choice if you have a larger family. Children will be delighted to find that the newly refurbished beach is only five minutes walk from our front door! Everyone Welcome Inclusive Hotel North Wales: We are proud to be fully inclusive to people from all walks of life. The LGBTQ+ community will find themselves welcomed with open arms, and we are proud to have full disabled access, with our restaurant being on the ground floor, and a ground floor bedroom available. Colwyn Bay B&B Location: Colwyn Bay is the gateway to Snowdonia National Park. As such, our family friendly guest house is centrally located, with bus and train links to the whole of North Wales, we are only a short drive to Llandudno, The Welsh Mountain Zoo, Conwy, Bangor, Caernarfon, Betws-y-Coed, Anglesey and many other exciting destinations. With so many beautiful walks in the area, you'll be happy to know that we are a dog friendly B&B. Also, we have our own free private parking, which is directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast Menu: Our breakfasts are nothing short of legendary. Whether it's a hearty full English you're after, or a lighter choice, such as salmon in scrambled eggs or kippers and tomatoes, rumbling tummies will not be disappointed! Try our triple-decker toasted sandwich, the 'Bryn Woodlands Belly Buster,' if you think you can handle it! As we are strong advocates of supporting local businesses, you'll be happy to know that all of our food is sourced within a three mile radius of our B&B. We also cater for a range of dietary requirements; be sure to let us know in advance. Take a look at our breakfast menu and see what tickles your fancy. We look forward to welcoming you into our home. Joel and Tracey Toulmin.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Property's Favourite Review
Just had a 3 day stay with my Daughter whilst visiting the Colwyn Bay area and we were highly satisfied with this gem of a B&B. Very convenient for central location being only approximately 350yds from the railway station. At the bottom of the street there are bus stops to catch public transport though to all places to Rhyl and in the opposite direction through to Llandudno/ Conwy and beyond. Very very comfortable and run by a delightful couple that are keen for you to enjoy your stay and your visit to the local area and beyond. Could not fault the food due to the huge choice for breakfast with copious tea and toast if desired if you can still manage it after a delicious Full English. Do not think I would even bother looking for anywhere different to stay if returning to the area as this ticked all the boxes. Went with hosts recommendations for places to eat out and were definitely glad we took their advice. All in all a great visit in a lovely and very comfortable B&B. I personally had the room shown on the top of their web site and slept so well that I only heard the nearby church clock strike once during the night in 3 nights! Must have been something to do with the bracing Welsh air during our stay!

Fabulous stay, ultra clean, comfiest beds, friendly and lovely owners. This first class hitel is situated close to the town but in a really quiet position, on site parking. Copious amounts of hit water, lovely extras, like bathrobes, wine glasses, good quality toiletries and plenty of fluffy white towels. Tracey and Joel are the loveliest people, thoughtful, kind and attentive. Delicious breakfast and a superbly run hotel. Would definately stay here again, thank you for wedding anniversary present too...so kind 💞

It’s been a long time since we’ve stayed in a B&B. On our extensive travels worldwide, we’ve booked hotels and apartments. This time, we saw the fab reviews for Bryn Woodlands and decided to book for our anniversary weekend. We travelled from Cheshire, visiting Conwy en route and the weather wasn’t too great. On arrival in Colwyn Bay earlier than we anticipated, we were looking for somewhere to while away some time before check in, when the owner contacted us to say they were ready for us! We met Joel who checked us in, gave us our keys then went upstairs to our large room facing the road. The bathroom was also large, and everything was very clean. We enjoyed a welcome cuppa (Yorkshire tea bags - lovely) then relaxed. The lovely owners had left us a card and gift which was very kind. We slept well (despite the nearby church chiming every hour even through the night) and had hearty breakfasts the next two mornings. Tracey served us at our reserved table and was friendly and chatty. We caught the bus into Llandudno the next day to enjoy some late autumn sunshine. All in all, an enjoyable stay. Thank you Joel and Tracey.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front do ‘enjoy’ church bells chiming every hour on the hour 24/7.

What a great time we had staying at this guest house. We were there to attend a family party. Two nights in a quality room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom with quality loo roll. The breakfast was superb. We had the full breakfast, preceded by fresh fruit salad. And topped off by tea or coffee and as much toast and jams/marmalade as you want! The host's go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Colwyn Bay. Sue and Ian.

Had to ask Tracey & Joel this morning how many times we’ve stayed at this luxurious boutique hotel and we came to the conclusion it was 7 times. Soon as you walk through the door you are met by Joel & Tracey who immediately make you feel welcome. The rooms are spotless and just make you feel like you’re at home whilst making you feel comfortable. Breakfast is our favourite time as the food is all locally sourced. Nothing is too much trouble and I would probably say we’ve made good friends with Team Toulmin. If you want to visit colwyn bay then this is the place you need to visit ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We stayed for three nights, was made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived, nice comfortable room, lovely breakfast, good base for us to go out and explore the area. Tracy and Joel were great, nothing too much trouble, really helpful with knowledge about the surrounding areas, would stay again.

On arrival I was greeted warmly by the staff. My room was spacious and comfortable. The weather was very humid and staff had left windows open so that the room was cooler when I entered. They had also thoughtfully put in a fan should I need it. The room was exceptionally clean and the ensuite shower was easy to use. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had a lovely nights sleep (despite the humid weather). The local area information booklet was very good. Breakfast I was able to choose my time of eating. A serving table was laid with cereal, fruit, yogurt and juice. There was a choice of cooked breakfasts to order and were cooked individually to taste. I loved the that the tables had different salt and pepper cruits. I was so pleased that the hotel was inviting. I would definitely book this again.
