Travellers' Choice
Are you looking for a family run, friendly and extremely clean B&B in the heart of North Wales? Then you've come to the right place. We are Joel and Tracey, and this is our luxury boutique guest house in the picturesque town of Colwyn Bay, where you'll find that no request is too much trouble. As welcoming to new faces as we are to our many returning guests, our aim is to make your stay here as enjoyable as possible. Colwyn Bay Hotel Rooms: All of our rooms are individually decorated to give you great choice, whether you're a lone traveller on a business trip, or a family looking for a break by the sea. Our spacious family room sleeps up to two adults and three children, making us a great choice if you have a larger family. Children will be delighted to find that the newly refurbished beach is only five minutes walk from our front door! Everyone Welcome Inclusive Hotel North Wales: We are proud to be fully inclusive to people from all walks of life. The LGBTQ+ community will find themselves welcomed with open arms, and we are proud to have full disabled access, with our restaurant being on the ground floor, and a ground floor bedroom available. Colwyn Bay B&B Location: Colwyn Bay is the gateway to Snowdonia National Park. As such, our family friendly guest house is centrally located, with bus and train links to the whole of North Wales, we are only a short drive to Llandudno, The Welsh Mountain Zoo, Conwy, Bangor, Caernarfon, Betws-y-Coed, Anglesey and many other exciting destinations. With so many beautiful walks in the area, you'll be happy to know that we are a dog friendly B&B. Also, we have our own free private parking, which is directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast Menu: Our breakfasts are nothing short of legendary. Whether it's a hearty full English you're after, or a lighter choice, such as salmon in scrambled eggs or kippers and tomatoes, rumbling tummies will not be disappointed! Try our triple-decker toasted sandwich, the 'Bryn Woodlands Belly Buster,' if you think you can handle it! As we are strong advocates of supporting local businesses, you'll be happy to know that all of our food is sourced within a three mile radius of our B&B. We also cater for a range of dietary requirements; be sure to let us know in advance. Take a look at our breakfast menu and see what tickles your fancy. We look forward to welcoming you into our home. Joel and Tracey Toulmin.

Our hosts Joel and Tracey were very welcoming on arrival and the breakfast was excellent, food was hot and lots of choice, nothing was too much trouble if asked. Our room was clean and tidy and everything we needed was there, even had dressing gowns provided, the only tiny complaint was the bed creaked when we moved but that was it. Thank you for being wonderful hosts.

The proprietors really understand how to make you feel both welcome and comfortable. Tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean room provided a restful nights sleep. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order. If ever we are back in Colwyn Bay we will be back.

Lovely Bed & Breakfast situated less than 5 minutes walk from the train station + couple of minutes further to the beach, about 5 minutes to Theatr Colwyn and about a 30 minute walk to the Welsh Mountain Zoo.. All faster with longer legs! Gorgeous comfortable rooms and a delicious breakfast menu catering to most major dietary requirements. The owners Tracey & Joel were the perfect hosts. Highly recommend this lovely B&B to anyone looking for a trip to Colwyn and wanting a friendly warm welcome.

We've just stayed 2 nights. The hosts Joel and Tracey were lovely.. Nothing is too much. Warm welcome awaited. Room was lovely and clean and had lovely little additions.. Toiletries.. Tissues.. Biscuits.. Tea. And coffee and even ear buds.. :) Breakfasts were scrummy.. Best breaky ever!! 5 min walk to train station and beach.. and good location to get the train to Conwy and llandudno. Church bells from Church opposite are regular, if your a very light sleeper.. But also it was quaint and adds to the charm of the place.... Would definately stay here again...... Thanks Tracey and Joel for a great relaxing and welcoming time at your B&B. Xx

Stayed for a week using as a base for business. Warm welcome from Joel, large spotless room with equipped en-suite and coffee making facilities. Fast free broadband. Breakfast served by Tracy was delicious, fresh with provenance of meat and eggs etc. Bed comfortable, and off road parking available. Could not get a better team, well done both. The only issue for me (nothing hosts could do about) was the church clock that rang on the hour, every hour 24/7. Got use to it after first night, but if you’re a light sleeper, may be worth requesting a room at the rear. Excellent location for local eateries, shopping and a stroll to the sea. Highly recommend and will look forward to staying again when in Colwyn Bay.

That's amazing and yeah not much we can do about the church clock but we can provide ear plugs on request or recommend the bars to have a good nightcap in LOL. See you again soon.

My husband and I have stayed at Bryn Woodlands a few times now and even have a favourite room! Upon arrival Joel and Tracey are warm and friendly and you instantly feel welcomed into their home. The rooms are all individually decorated and are spotlessly clean and maintained very well. The breakfast cooked by Joel is always spot on and there's something for everyone! Compared to other guesthouses in the area, Bryn Woodlands is by far the best! Nothing is too much trouble and they always make time in their busy day for a good chat with us, which we absolutely love. If you are looking for a guesthouse to feel comfy, cosy and relaxed in then this is the place for you! The location is perfect, just a 5 minute walk to the beach and the shops, restaurants etc are at the end of the road! Everytime we stay here we are made to feel like part of the family and what could be better than that!

Booked a week there and the owners Tracy & Joel where excellent hosts, they couldn’t do enough for you,Joel’s breakfast was the nicest I’d ever tasted and all locally sourced ,they ordered taxis for us and even told us the best take away places, they didn’t mind you bringing food back and they would even order it for you,the bed & breakfast itself was clean and the beds where really comfortable, ideally located near shops and literally 5 minutes walk from the beach the train station was only a couple of minutes walk and buses ran frequently,I’ve already booked again for next year I was that impressed and I’ve stayed at a lot of bed & breakfasts and was far the best I’ve ever stayed in definitely 10 star to me
