Wonderful quiet midweek visit staying in a coop. Great idea and very warm and well insulated. All facilities immaculately clean and a very friendly and helpful owner. Will definitely be back, great area for walking in the shadow of Moel Siabod
Camping with a small group, not booked by self, looked at website around 2mth prior to arrival. Saw no mention of ‘dogs not permitted’ website seemed to be real wordy and few pics…. But no no dog mention. Arrive late at night and pitch with dog, then notice ‘no dog’ signs, which are situated in blind spots of foot or car. Farmer spots dog in morning, told can’t have dog on site, explained 5hr round trip to take dog home, farmers suggests it’s that or swallow falls hotel. Drives home with dog whilst friends do fun stuff & returns!!! As don’t want all party evicted!! Wakes Sunday morning, having a lazy chilled morning to discover 2 other parties that had arrived before our party Friday, had camped Saturday and still there Sunday were proudly strutting their dogs around the campsite!!! Was absolutely fuming as clearly rules apply to different campers. Loo’s n showers really clean Farmer is like a angry wasp following you round, getting his camp fee’s in the morning, even collars you when clearly heading the toilet. Road very very noisy one night… thought I’d camped next to M6 all the huge trucks passing, quieter the next night. If you can tolerate angry wasp farmer and living by his list of rules a nice spot. But if you don’t you’ll get asked to leave…
Super clean campsite with superb views all around. So many things to do locally. Very relaxed atmosphere, the owner is extremely helpful and cleans the facilities at least 3 times a day. There's a little river on site where we could take our young children kayaking. Would definitely stay again.
We had a lovely 2 night stay at Dolgam! Very well managed site, and clean shower block. Shower block has a separate toilet, shower and sink areas but I found it handy to have a little sink cubicle for getting changed for bed and washing face and brushing teeth before bed. The site is right on the A5 but we didn’t find the traffic too disturbing. Ideally located for Snowdonia area, and whilst there we travelled to Betws-y-Coed (Swallow Falls), Cwm Idwal, Zipworld Fforest and Surf Snowdonia which weren’t far at all.
Fantastic little campsite in Betws-y-Coed. Perfect place to chill out and use as a base camp before climbing Snowdon. The facilities were very clean and checked regularly by the site owners. Easy to find and lots of space to keep everyone socially distanced.
