Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic site and immaculate pitch. Facilities were always clean and welcoming with piped music (not always to my taste) site shop with plenty of choice although limited perishable items during our stay. Very quiet when we were there no noise from the road, we did go out of school holiday periods so only a few children on the Saturday/Sunday but can imagine it can be very busy and noisy during school holidays especially as many of the caravans on site are seasonal but will be used more as the summer season approaches. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Would recommend but for Adult Only requirements we would suggest go whilst schools are still active.

What an amazing campsite. It has spaces for caravans and tents both electric and not. Dogs are very welcomed there. The reception / shop is open 9-5 and has the basics you could need. If your arriving after 5 just let them know. Someone shows you to the spot you are allocated to and is very welcoming. There is a recreation field for people to have picnics or children to play and a dog walking field which is secure so dogs can be let off to run around(dog owners choice). Both male and female toilets are clean, well maintained and no line to wait. There is a disabled toilet too. There is a large covered pot wash area and an area to empty your portable toilet if you have one. The beach is a short walk away as is the nearest pub ;) . the views are just stunning. One one side you have the beach where you can see endless miles of sea and the other side beautiful mountains. We loved our stay here and plan to come again. Po

We recently visited Trawsdir for 6 nights and stayed on the back field in our family tent. The site is immaculate and the wardens can be seen out and about daily keeping everything tidy and in order. The wardens are top notch, don't take any messing (and rightly so) but the most helpful, friendliest guys you could meet! Keith and Gary; you were fabulous and made our holiday seamless! The facilities are second to none. Toilets and showers are spotless, warm and very well thought out. The pot washing facilities have the best views over the sea and actually made washing the pots a pleasure! There is a little play park which my daughter loved and made loads of friends at. The reception has a shop which is well stocked with essentials - food, snacks, toys and camping bits and bobs. They also have gas canisters.
All in all, this site is an absolute gem! The views are fabulous, the site is spotless and Keith and Gary are the best wardens. We're already planning visit number two - we can't wait to return.
Thanks for the best holiday!

We love this campsite!

The location is perfect and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. They have a fob system in place, this is great and much better than a code system that other sites use.

The views from the front field are stunning, and the facilities are always spotless and there are plenty of showers toilets and sinks for everyone - including family's
. Also just a short drive to Barmouth or walk to the beach.

Recently spend a few days in Barmouth and decided to stay here with our motor home.
Well run site, spotless shower rooms with plenty of hot water and changing rooms. well stocked shop and local to the beach and shops, with site overlooking the beach so enjoyed glorious views.
Walkable to the Nor bar pub serving a good selection of food and drinks.
A warm welcome was delivered by the owners of the site who clearly enjoy ensuring their guests are looked after.
Would definitely recommend.

First time at this site as the site we usually use was fully booked. Very enjoyable from start to finish. It has a key fob barrier system on the entrance and exit. You pay a £10 deposit for the fob which is returned when you leave. We dealt with Kieth Wilson, who was very professional and polite as well as helpful. The site was very clean and tidy and the shower blocks were top notch (also fob entry to). Very clean and tidy. By far the best shower block i have been in. We went down for the annual fire work display. It's approximately a 10 minute drive to the town. We didn't use the beach as the weather was a bit wet (expected in November). We would definitely use this site again in the future.

This site is spotless and beautifully looked after by the Wardens who were so helpful. Great location. Wonderful views. Surrounded by fields with sheep at tge back of the site and views of the sea to the front.
A little bit of noise from the road but not obtrusive.
Spotless facilities with good sized pitches.
The site is well looked after and spotlessly clean and well maintained.
The site is next to a working farm which makes it more enjoyable. Access to the beach is via the sister site about 1/2 Mile walk.
Really enjoyed our stay and tge digs enjoyed the enclosed off lead dog park.
Big thank you to The Wardens.

We stayed for a long weekend with 2 other families. The owners provided us with 3 pitches together, which was ideal.
Extremely well run park, the showers & toilets were extremely clean, loved the music playing and listening to people singing.
Lovely little park for the grandkids and a field to play football etc, a dedicated dog field too.
Pub & chip shop 5 mins walk.
In a stunning location with amazing views. Overall excellent staff and facilities. Excellent campsite can’t wait to return.

First things first, this is by far the cleanest most well run campsite I’ve ever visited, the facilities are excellent, hot showers, immaculately presented cleaned constantly, a very secure site, a fob is needed to get on and off the site, everything runs to within an inch of its life, the problem is it was way too busy, way way too busy, noisy too, loads of kids screaming shouting riding pushbikes around after dark inbetween tents, one night we had our guy lines ripped off our tent due to a kid crashing into our tent, what kind of parent lets their child ride a push bike without lights at night?
We had no choice where we pitched, we were showed our pitch when we arrived, it was truly awful, we were jammed Inbetween loads of other tents barely five feet away so our view was tents in front, to either side, and at the back it was just a sea of coloured canvas there was no privacy whatsoever and not what we were looking for at all all in all too much noise and way too many people. We prefer to be in a slightly wilder environment as opposed to to a perfectly clean and homogenised purpose built site.
Even the convenience of water and electric is not enough to make us want to return.

There is a local bus stop and a train service that runs the length of the coast. Not sure how these connect. Norbar next door does good food. Beach is within easy walking distance and that site has an o.k. shop. Barmouth has on street parking by the beach where you vehicle could park.

The pods have a small tv, an electric socket, a small shelf and a radiator. There are a couple of small hooks for coats etc. We slept on air beds but found the noise of the bed on the laminate made an awful noise whenever anyone moved until we put blankets underneath the air bed to reduce friction. I would take a kettle as I missed my morning brew. We had a great time.
