Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just wanted to say that the staff on site Mark, Gary and the other members are spot on and never stop even in the bad weather. They are a credit to the site and nothing is too much trouble, always there to help. Thank you from Number 8.

Really well equipped, well thought out, all the amenities easy to hand from a motorhome, no mud to traverse, spacious, fantastic views, close to some of the most spectacular bits of Eryri, like the Nantlle Valley, not to mention Snowdon itself. Also really friendly welcome despite it being a chilly December night.

Really lovely campsite with incredible staff and facilities. We came here with little knowledge of the site, but from the first day we realised it was going to be a great stay. The facilities are amazing and dotted all over the site. The shepherd hut wet rooms were amazing. A beautiful river runs through the site with a picnic area next to it. The scenery is stunning with many walks for all abilities. The Welsh Highland railway runs by the site and it was great to see the steam train most days. Very central to a lot of attractions and stunning locations. On our last day we ‘lost’ our son and with the staffs help, they had most of their team and some of the regular visitors out looking for him. He was found safe and well, but the staff mobilised themselves very quickly. We are forever grateful to all of them.

Would 100% recommend staying here. We booked for 6 nights but when our tent didn’t survive a storm on night 3 we managed to book one of the shepherds huts for our final 3 nights which the lady at reception was more than happy to help us with! Situated close to both Caernarfon and Llanberis with fantastic views from wherever you are on the site 🙂 We will most certainly be coming back again.

We stayed here at the weekend, booked last minute, got the last pitch available and so glad we were able to stay . The amenities and showers are fantastic, immaculately kept grounds . Lovely staff , good on site shop, free storage of ice blocks. Pretty beck flowing through and lovely dog walk trail. Perfect for kids if you have them. Last of all great butty van on site especially when your husband forgets the frying pan !!

Once this couple have had your money ,that's it!!!!! I have a old LDV van&they treated me like a Gypsy. Don't go to this site unless you have a posh middle class caravan. There was a group of Welsh people around a campfire who mocked &laughed, safe in there group situation. £72 for two nights wasted .I left after a hour. It's difficult to find your pitch in the dark &the lighting is poor. Will never go again &will warned all my freinds &family that this place exhibits bad energy. Word gets around.

Unfortunately it had been raining heavily and was extremely windy, so the site, in places, was very wet and boggy. BUT the staff were absolutely great, constantly cleaning and surveying the site. It didn't stop us or most ppl enjoying the x2 great play areas, the onsite food truck (a tad expensive) and small shop, and of cause the great views, stream and Welsh highland railway. We stayed in a tent. Ground well drained for us, luckily, road was muddy though, as expected with the heavy rainfall! My daughter in a static and everything was absolutely fine, fully equipped with everything needed for a family of 5. Someone came round on a night, asking those that were being a little noisy, to quieten down etc... but most ppl were respectful of their neighbours. All in all loved it and would definitely go back !!! Thank you Bryn gloch x

overpriced, camped and put right near a play ground. unattended kids climbing onto the roof, screaming till half 12 and running through peoples pitches. not enough toilets or showers. people having big party’s until the early hours. dated reception areas and “games room” we wouldn’t return.

Not as good as I expected. Toilet and shower facilities clean but very dated, showers were not pleasant. My husband attempted a shower every day and couldn't get hot water. Our pitch was in need of some attention. For the £60 a night price, plus price for awning and dog it was in my opinion, over priced and for this reason....we will not be returning.

Absolutely stunning location! The site is lovely, clean and although large it doesn’t feel too chaotic. The only criticism is that originally we were going to be placed by the play area that was flooded due to the rain at the time. Completely not fit fit the purpose. We felt bad for people who were staying there when we arrived as their tents were flooded. Raised that with the staff who although it was busy placed us by the river where we happily camped for a week!
