Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Seven of us stayed here recently. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, star of the show though is the food, plentiful, varied and all excellent. Ian and Anna made us all feel very welcome and Ian proved to be an excellent guide to local golf courses.

Just a fabulous 3 night stay, Ian and Anna were amazing hosts and our group of 8 golfers had our best golf break ever,. The hotel was lovely, with fabulous views, very tasty breakfast and very comfortable rooms. We also had a fabulous meal at the hotel on our last night. Will definitely be back next year

With a team of 8 members of our Golf Society Welsh Golf Breaks booked us in to the Plas Isa and what a great experience it was. The Society Captain and I arrived on the Monday Night and were given the 2 Seafront Rooms which were excellent. We enjoyed an superb evening meal and breakfast and then that evening after our 1st Round of Golf the remainder of the members booked in. Everyone was delighted with the vedry warm and friendly welcome, the quality of the rooms and the excellent food. There is no doubt this really is one of those "Jewels in the Crown" that any tour organiser hopes to find and it really was a pleasure to have Plas Isa as our Base. Many thanks to Anna and Ian for making our stay so memorable.

This was my fourth visit to Plas Isa but the first with my wife, the other three have been on golfing breaks in North Wales. The hotel is clean and comfortable and Anna and Ian make you most welcome. The food is excellent and location very convenient. I am sure I/we will return.

A fantastic stay, the service was excellent and the hosts were very welcoming. The rooms and hotel was spotlessly clean. The choice of breakfast was varied, generous and delicious. The evening meals even more so thanks to Anna's amazing culinary skills. An amazing lovely lady with whom I shared some heart warming conversations in the bar in the evenings. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

My wife and I booked this hotel on recommendation from a friend and were not disappointed. We've just returned home after a 2 night stay. The hotel is ideally situated with on site parking and within a short walk to the beach or into town. Anna, Ian and staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room 7 on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel was ideal as it was cooler in the very hot weather. We ate in on our first night and the food was delicious and of generous portions as were the breakfasts. We were impressed by all the Covid compliant arrangements and. have already recommended Plas Isa to our friends many thanks Colin and Gill.

Group of 8 of us visited for 2 nights whilst playing 3 rounds of golf around the area. Rooms were comfortable and very clean with everything you'd need, breakfast was plentiful (toast and coffee kept on coming and cooked breakfasts were to order if required) and the meal we had on the first evening was very good: we had 5 different options between us, with no complaints. Ian and Anna were excellent hosts, they clearly take a pride in their business and will arrange golf course bookings if you give them a call. Prices for food and drink were very reasonable too. Overall we had a great break, even if the golf wasn't always up to scratch!

We had a 2 night stay at this well located hotel, all was fine, clean and tidy room and a good cooked to order breakfast (which we like). There were no evening meals while we were there due to coved staff shortages, this was not a problem for us as there are plenty of places to eat in Porthmadoc. The view from the room was great overlooking the sea and the castle, there is some road noise.. A good base for exploring the Llyn peninsular and the Snowdonia National Park.

The Plas Isa was a fabulous place for us to stay for a recent golf trip to the area. Anna and Ian could not have been more welcoming, nor made the place fell any more safe and secure. The hotel itself was perfect for us and has wonderful views across the bay. These were, admittedly, greatly enhanced by the glorious sunshine we were treated to! Breakfast and evening meals were superb and definitely not lacking portion size, which suited us perfectly. Bottles of local beer from the bar washed the evening meals down nicely. I would heartily recommend a trip to the area and a stay at the Plas Isa. Hopefully, one day we will get back over there in a post-COVID world. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for looking after us so well.
