After a long day in the hills we stopped here for an evening meal as it was recommended for good pub food. Inside the pub has modern decoration, I suspect it's been recently refurnished, but I found the seats very uncomfortable. Tuesday the 19th July has been the hottest day so far in this part of Wales and inside the...

Great venue, really good renovation, friendly service, local employer. John, the manager makes this place work. Having been drinking in the Ship for 45 years I can say it has never been run so well before.

Really lovely, recently refurbished hotel. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. New large TV on wall opposite the bed. The bar staff are very friendly and efficient. The breakfasts compete well with anything I have had elsewhere in a similar hotel. I have commented that there needs to be some attention to detail. Some of the room staff...

Visited this pub in the middle of town Friday after a long ride up from Bristol. The barman must have been off the day the customer service lecture was carried out as he could not raise a smile or help us log into the wifi without being sarcastic!. We were going to eat but decided they did not deserve our...

Stayed here in July 2016 for one night as we toured North Wales. Very dog friendly, you have to sign a disclaimer and pay £5 per night extra, but it's worth it, and they really do like dogs, not just tollerate them ! We had a room at the front on the square that we thought cold be noisy, but...

Wonderful 19th Century, Grade II Listed Coaching Inn, in the heart of Dolgellau. Sympathetically renovated to a high standard, it cleverly incorporates, smart modern décor whilst maintaining a historical feel. Dog friendly it caters for both dog owners and non dog owners, with designated dog areas, decorated to an equally high standard. Fabulous food is served from 12pm – 9pm...

Two nights on a row we've eaten here, and maybe tomorrow as well. The pies are to die for, nice fresh veg and good choice of spuds. Lovely pub with history, tastefully decorated, lovely staff and great beer. Will come back here and stay, can't comment on the rooms, not seen them, but reckon they will be nice. Totally recommend...

Lovely atmosphere and staff very friendly. Chicken pate starter was gorgeous. Very varied menu, something for everyone. My daughter enjoyed her chicken curry and my husband the Supreme. I had the chorizo pizza which was lovely and crispy but very tasty. Will be going back for sure!

Once we got to the hotel, there were hardly any staff in sight, and when I found one, I was told that I would have to park in the long stay Carpark, not the 'free parking' provided, as there was a music festival on, which was occupying the car park. There was no mention at all of this on either...
