Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in Room 1 Foxglove - Well worth the upgrade. Massive King Size Bed very comfy with four large windows and large TV, Great bathroom with jacuzzi bath. Enjoyed lots of local Lakes and Waterfalls in the area, great location. Breakfast was fantastic, very very tasty (especially enjoyed the fried bread). Cannot wait to return to explore more areas of Wales. Thanks

We had a 2-night stay and didn’t want to leave. It was that good! Hosts were very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was spotlessly clean and the fittings, towels, bedding etc were all top quality. The food was exceptional. A delightful afternoon tea and, again, top quality food from extensive breakfast and dinner menus. When I leave reviews I always try to balance the good with the not so good but, in this case, there was nothing that was “not so good”. As regards value, I can’t comment because our stay was a gift from our kids but, whatever it cost them, it was worth it. Truly exceptional.

What a beautiful place, inside and out. The hosts Gareth and Gina were lovely, and couldn't be more accommodating. The beds were comfy, the rooms were spectacular, the food was perfect. 5 star plus for this beautiful guest house. Stunning surroundings and even a little waterfall to sit next to. 5 minutes from the nearest town and 25 minutes to Bala. I absolutely loved staying here. Just magnificent x

The most incredible venue, food & hosts. My wife & I couldn't have asked for more from Gina & Gareth, The room was lovely comfortable & spacious. The food served was 5* very well presented, and extremely tasty. Even through the weather wasn't perfect Gina & Garenth supplied a whole range of local things to do, even phoning to ensure the venue was open We couldn't recommend this country house higher, will be returning regularly Thank you both , hope see you soon Regards Roy & Debbie

What an excellent hotel. We stayed for 2 nights in the Jasmine garden room. The facilities were excellent and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast on both days was very well done and we had a 3 course meal on the first night that was exquisite! Thank you Gareth and Gina for being such great hosts and making us feel so welcome

Honestly don’t know what to say about this place! Stunning! Set in a beautiful garden with stunning views and 2 waterfalls. The Jasmine suite which we stayed in was very cosy, although a little on the small side you cannot fault the attention to detail, the fab waterfall shower, ridiculously comfy bed with the softest bedding that you truly struggle to get out of! Hosts Gina and Gareth couldn’t do enough for us whilst we were there, offering advice as to what spots to visit and also sharing their experiences of the local eateries. We had 2 nights here and this meant 2 beautiful cooked breakfasts with a varied selection, we were seated in the conservatory, just myself and my partner(made us feel we were given special treatment) We also had 1 evening meal which was beautiful! Pulled pork was a winner with my other half and the beef just melted! Highly recommend the afternoon tea too, freshly home made cakes were Devine! We drove from Manchester which took two hours, with the change in weather we were wary we wouldn’t find it straight away, although the entrance to it is quite tight it’s worth the trip! Can’t wait to return to this beautiful location and explore more! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Spent 2 days here at this lovely Country House . The host's were great , including directions and any special requirements. The home cooked food was delicious and we would really advise "dining in" at some point during any stay ( the Spicy Pulled Pork dish was fantastic ) The hosts knowledge and appreciation of the local area was also great to hear and very helpful in planning our stay. We would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing , peaceful and exploring treat

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this lovely B & B. Gina & Gareth made sure our stay was special and couldn't do enough for us. Gareth recommended a lovely hike up Cader Idris which was amazing. Their knowledge of the local area is great and we felt confident heading out for walks. Maps are provided which was very handy. The room (Honeysuckle) was lovely and comfortable. The ensuite was a nice size and the rainfall shower was welcomed after a long and wet walk. The food here is what makes it what it is. Breakfast was delicious and I would highly recommend ordering afternoon tea. Everything was fresh and homemade - compliments to the chef! Gina and Gareth run this B &B like clockwork and can't do enough to make your stay special. I only wish I'd taken more photos to share but we were having too much of a good time to think about it. I would definitely recommend!
