Absolutely stunning place with some fantastic views. We had an amazing time despite the rain. The staff at the booking in office were great. There's restraunt and pizza place if your not doing your own bbq. Highly recommend visiting

If you are a seasoned camper you probably have either heard of shell island or visited it. If you want a quiet camp without too many children Shell Island is not for you. However, if like me you like the busy atmosphere with lots of children having fun, Shell island could be for you. The views are spectacular. Watching the...

Just back from a splendid four day stay at Shell Island.....huge site with many different nooks and crannies to pitch your tent/trailer tent/motorhome. Wonderful sea views and the sunset was spectacular. Bar on site along with small supermarket.....suits all types if you prefer peace and quiet the site is large enough to accommodate. The staff were very friendly and a...

The reason I didn't give 5 stars is the bathroom blocks around the site with the exception of the main block do not get cleaned enough. Secondly, you allow motor homes which was a nuisance. They block off the views which I came there for. It was disappointing. Third, despite your staff driving around the facility at regular intervals there...

Absolutely stunning site, beautiful beaches. However, approx 3,200 people camped the w/e 22nd July. Extremely crowded, loud stereo music all evening and into the night. No management in sight. Very poor facilities, long walks to small toilets and dirty showers. Queues at whatever time you choose to shower or use the toilets. The majority of the site consists of sloping...

Had a great time here maybe because of the sun but lovely place. Everything you need, showers and toilet a plenty and well cleaned. I would say the food is a little expensive but I guess it's cause of the convenience of it being there. Staff are all friendly too. Would come back again but obviously having the sunshine makes...

Sorry about the three. I love shell island and have been coming for years. The new toilets block is great as well as the overhauled shower block well done guys. The reasons for the three the WiFi just don't work and have seen its not been working for months. The second reason I didn't like the staff getting drunk in...

Took the family camping along with another family of friends. Was very lucky with the weather so could enjoy the beach every day. Great site, showers were very busy but that's to be expected. The site has everything you need plus a bar and shop. Will be going again soon!
