Returned from our stay here last week and as always, had an amazing 13 nights. I have stayed at various campsites across this area of North Wales over the years, and know the area extremely well as it has been my second home for over 35 years. This is our third year on the trot of summer hols spent on this site and absolutely love it! Great for couples, families and solo visits. We stayed on electric hook up pitches, more than enough room, with a parking space at top of your pitch off the grass, which is great and the "rare" occasion rain pays a visit to the North of Wales (which in all fairness just adds a different element to your stay as waterfalls are amazing to catch after a few days of rain, as are visits to the many beautiful local beaches nearby) There is plenty to do on site by the river, local walks, must admit we always stay quite local, no need to travel miles in a car for some great places to visit. Pizza on site is tasty and there are some local pubs at bottom of road (short drive). Facilities great with sep washrooms, showers and toilet blocks. Good dishwashing areas (if you don't have a bowl fetch a plug for the sink they tend to go walkabouts!) There is no phone signal unless you take a walk to the top of the falls or top of forest area at back of site but WiFi available at a fair price which is reasonably reliable but its good to be off grid for a while. Owners and staff friendly, helpfull and more than approachable and are clearly invested in their site of which its clear they are and should be very proud of!! Booked a visit to glamping pod in October half term for a change, can't wait to be back. .. (when we'll more than likey book our summer hols for next year)

We came home yesterday after spending the bank holiday here. The site is one of the best sites I’ve been to, it was lovely, clean and well looked after (didn’t want to go home). The owners and everyone who works there were really friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. The kids had so much fun and stayed in the river all day. There are lots of nice walks and having amazing weather certainly helped. We will definitely be returning.

We recently camped at Nancol and we have had the best time. The campsite it’s self is immaculate and the facilities were deep cleaned twice a day from what I could see. Our electric pitch was very generous in size and we had more than enough room. Our 3 young boys could play safely they made lots of friends and they absolutely loved paddling in the river. We had pizza 2 nights and it was delicious and highly recommended. The staff were very helpful and the little shop was very handy, we also really appreciated the freezer block service very much. We were aware of the no internet before we arrived and we actually really enjoyed being off grid for our stay. If I had to some our stay up in one word it would be “perfect”. We can’t wait to return.

The falls were slightly disappointing and could not get to the second set. The path is tortuous and some resorted to getting their feet wet to get across the stream. Two groups In front of us gave up, so we did. Not worth the £3 parking fee, unless you are going there to paddle In the stream. For that purpose it's great on a hot day. Also great for that early morning envigorating cold bath, if your camping there. Great looking campsite and a great place to take the kids. The average rating was because of the camping and family and disappointing photographic

Not sure how to respond to this really! The path is a natural well trodden path meandering through beautiful natural countryside, if Derrick would like us to widen and flatten the path and possibly cover it with tar for his ease of access then he will be disappointed. By the way if you resorted to crossing the stream you were going the wrong way!

Our first experience of Glamping. Perhaps we expected too much. The glamping pod we stayed in ( the green one ) was far from glamorous! The worst aspect was the bed – a cheap IKEA sofa that doubled up as a bed and was extremely uncomfortable, so much so that we went home after staying only 3 nights instead of 4. After paying £60 per night for 4 nights this made out stay rather poor value for money. However, the site is in a beautiful isolated location, but the downside to this is that Wi-Fi is weak and in fact was not available at all on the first day ( no password codes available from the ISP ) Can’t rate higher than 2 stars for staying in a pod but would have been better all round plain simple camping!

Thank you for your review, it would have been great to receive this feedback from you on site on the first night thus allowing us to remedy the situation, finding out on social media is so disappointing and demoralising to us all at Nantcol. However, we have taken action and will replace the said sofa (not IKEA by the way) and will replace with fixed double beds for comfort. As for the wifi you can blame whoever controls broadband for rural Wales however, again had you have come over to Reception on the first night we would have sorted password codes there and then, telling us on Trip advisor will not resolve the situation for you. Some positive news on Wifi on site, we have been told that fibre will reach Nantcol Waterfalls during 2021 - about time!
