At last, hot showers! We have been travelling in a motorhome for the past 3 weeks and this was only the second time we found really hot showers where we could adjust the temperature - hallelujah! The camp itself is good and even though it is grassed the grass is kept short so you don’t have to traipse through long wet grass to get anywhere. The shower/toilet block is small but very clean and tidy and there is a laundry (which is a bit expensive). Nathan was very helpful and welcoming and showed us to our pitch making sure we had a spot sheltered from the wind which was great as it howled during the night. Definitely recommend if you want to go to Caernarfon.

We happened across this little gem of a site by accident. Wow what a treat it was. The owner Nathan is super friendly and couldn't have been anymore helpful. The site neat and tidy and the showers/toilets were utterly spotless I could happily recommend it to anyone!.

I'm giving Llys Derwen an excellent review because it goes the extra mile with all the little touches that make a stay really good. The facilities are immaculate, there's even spare washing up liquid and pan scrubbers in case you've forgotten yours. And it is wonderful to use really clean showers and loos! The site fields are nice and small, bordered by stone wall and native trees which provided dappled shade in some scorchio conditions. This is also an excellent base from which to explore, Sherpa buses run from the village if you don't want to drive. We went up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and explored Anglesey. Nathan, the owner is brilliant; he's friendly and helpful without being obtrusive and nothing is too much trouble. We would definitely return.

First time camping at Llys Derwen and it was perfect, lovely soft flat ground and the location is ideal for anyone who is thinking of conquering Mount Snowden as there is a bus stop at the end of the road (10 min walk) along with a pub which serves great food and is so reasonably priced. Tesco was a 15 min drive away for all your essentials. The showers were amazing and spotlessly clean as was the rest of the site. Nathan the host is a perfect hard working Gentleman and nothing was too much trouble for him. We will definitely be returning.

A gorgeous spot, in the foothills of Snowdon. And peaceful-just wind on the trees to be heard. Clean & well kept facilities & the fella in charge-delightful. A very Welsh pub just down the road which looked like it served a decent sized portion of food. The ONLY downside-& this was a personal thing-was that there was no separation between pitches at all. But apart from that, chilled.

Another lovely weekend spent at this family run site . The owner Nathan was friendly and helpful . Site is close to Llanberis , Snowdonia and Anglesea . The toilet / shower block was always clean . Also washing facilities provided . Will definetly be coming back !!!

Great site . very friendly welcome from Nathan, who runs a very clean tidy site All grass pitches. Shower / toilet blocks very clean. Pub 10 walk from site, good food. Bus stop opposite pub for bus to snowdonia railway. Easy drive to Anglesey. Would stay again with no problem.

We stayed here for the the Ultra Trail Snowdonia weekend and it was fantastic. Impeccably clean and cared for, excellent facilities and an ideal location to access the start finish (if you don't mind not being within walking distance). Really lovely staff on site, pub down the road was good for a post race refuel. Would recommend for anyone booking for 2024. Thanks so much.
