Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is closed but are still taking online bookings! DO NOT BOOK! We have stayed here before and decided to book again, went direct to the web site and booked only to find out the hotel is closed and the telephone number has been disconnected.

Avoid like the plague where do I start ....so everything was nice to start with lovely infact until we hit the restaurant for lunch where my partner was enjoying her meal only to find a slug on the plate disgusting !!! I then was told after complaining that I would get a free dessert after sleeping on it the following day I decided that it wasnt enough so carried my complaint back to the manager where I was told I would get the meal for free so decided ok that's fair enough the following day after leaving the hotel they took from my bank without consent the whole value of the meals me and the family had ....but that wasnt all after arriving I paid cash for the rooms which I hold the receipt for ....they took the room money again from my account and the biggest joke is I'm still waiting for it now they told me it would take up to 4 weeks so I waited and waited and am still waiting they owe me 68.00 which isn't a great amount but that isn't the point the point is they have just fobbed me off everytime I've chased it up the staff are a waist of time they dont talk to each other if they did this would never of happened and apparently they have no contact with the hotel owner .I didn't want to make a big issue of it I just wanted what's mine but I've been treated badly so I've had no choice but to share this so it doesn't happen again !!!!!

Quirky, old building. Mega helpful and sweet reception staff, doing the owner proud. Large rooms. Good price. Nice pool area. Good food but limited menu sadly. Lovely grounds too! Will be back I'm sure.

I’m another one who checked the reviews ‘hmm... don’t really like 3 stars but cheap so... this is the only review you’ll need. My credentials- very fussy, want the very best in a hotel or great value with very high standards. This is it folks. This is the place. Why? Nice public spaces, all of them. Four star. Is there a scuff on the wall? I don’t know, who cares, there is in the Pullman in Paris, a million quid a night. I did notice them because I paid a load of money! The Seiont has amazing spacious rooms (room 23. Was anyway) it has very very clean rooms. It has really clean and spacious bathrooms with baths you can lie in (or put two kids in without them attacking each other due to proximity). The bed was huge. The bed was comfortable. I had like this balcony thing with an amazing view, woodland, green stuff! We are evening meal - £59 for two adults/ one kid and one bottle of great wine! Ok not cheap but you saved on the room you cheap bast... well. The food was amazing. Which brings me to the beat bit. Bangers and mash (kids menu) the sausages arrived and I knew. I knew straight away we had something special. The best god damn sausage I’ve ever had. I love this hotel. So I couldn’t wait for breakfast. You know what? Those sausages again. My wife had eggs royale - the kids had these amazing pancakes. You could order some amazing stuff to be made fresh. Whilst filling on the cereal, fruits, meats, cakes (why do they serve cake for breakfast??) The best breakfast ever. Stay at this hotel. The staff! I felt a bond. The bar guy with the beard, having his first kid. Great guy. The breakfast crew awesome. Even told me where they got the sausages. I’m not telling you though ask them yourself when you stay! Ok the gym and changing rooms aren’t great. But something has to give. You still have this nice pool that is bath warm. I get freaked out rusty pools and this was more than ok. That’s my balance. My critique. This place cost about £15 more than a B&B in Rhyl. I’ll let that sink in!

We had such a lovely stay I would really recommend it. After reading the reviews we thought it was going to be really rundown, but it wasn’t at all! It just isn’t super modern. We even stayed in a room that had been photographed as being shabby by another reviewer, it was just totally fine and not shabby at all (the bath panel had a bit of discolouration but it’s made of wood, it didn’t look dirty just a bit rustic!) The staff were really lovely and smiley and it was a nice environment to be in. We sat down for breakfast and it was very busy so there was a bit of a wait, unfortunately we had to leave before our breakfast arrived but everyone else’s looked really great. The staff were all very apologetic but it absolutely wasn’t their fault, we just had somewhere to be. They even kindly offered to pack our breakfast up, really spot on service.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Does not live up to its excellent reviews. Breakfast service very slow . Dinner a piece of chicken a tomato, mushroom and 6 chips! Pay extra for a sauce to accompany the chicken! Waiting staff need more training. The room was large and clean which was a positive. Hotel needs a total refurbishment.
