As you drive towards Llyn Gwynant campsite, the rural scenery quite literally takes your breath away; the same can be said when you pull in to the campsite itself. Pitching our tent in a field which sits below a huge cliff in the middle of a lush green valley, rolling hills and the soothing sounds of the prestine stream feeding...

Stayed here 27th of June After reading the reviews, I couldn't wait to try this site out, here are my findings! First the positives The sight is in an idealistic location, with river and lake adjacent to the site, simply stunning views. You can pitch where you want (only good when not too busy) Now the negatives Firstly the price-...

The Good: The site is beautifully located next to a lake (ideal for a cold swim) with stunning views and perfectly positioned for a short drive up to the Pen y pass car park if you can get up early enough to get a space! Aim for before 6.15am latest or alternatively walk the 3 miles or so. Facilities OK...

It's truly an amazing place! So peaceful and full of natural beauty, yet so convenient, practical and comfortable. We had an absolutely fantastic time last weekend for my sisters hen do... I'm not a seasoned camper so when asked to organise a hen do that was camping I'll admit I wasn't that excited, I however I could not have asked...

Top location with direct lake/river access. Great base for walks in the hills and relaxing on the lake in canoes (available for hire from the site). Just back from a fantastic 4-day stay. Remarkable sunny weather made it all the better. In a motorhome, so reservation needed, and the marked space wasn't the largest to be found in a country...

We stayed earlier this week and arrived on BH Monday. What really does it for this campsite is it's location, you never tire of looking at the mountains or at the vastness of the lake. It is truly humbling. It was quite busy due to the half term holidays but we still felt we had plenty of private space too....

This campsite is set in the most beautiful scenery ever, the lake by the campsite is amazing for a dip in hot weather. Couple of things that ruined this campsite was the amount of midgets is unreal, we got literally eaten alive. The toilets and showers are disgusting, they are dirty and not very well looked after. The most important...

Wanted to go camping as something fun to do, chose a campsite over wild camping as we wanted to be near facilities as first time out this year. The place is very busy (I'd estimate about 200-300 cars) and there's no privacy, tents are set up really close to each other. As it's busy there's a high chance of someone...

Just got back today from a three night trip so I'll start with the good stuff. The views from this site are amazing, truly breathtaking. The staff are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and all at a fab price. Papa Jones pizzas are gorgeous if not a little on the small side though. The showers and facilities are...

I have been to this lovely campsite before but never on a Bank Holiday weekend. It has good facilities and a truly stunning location. We bring our own kayaks and take them on river and lake there, you can have campfires too. However, I would avoid the BH weekends because of all the trouble you have with fellow campers. Dogs...
