Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is our 2nd time here we love it. Stayed in the 1 bed cottage & hot tub. It’s a perfect location, stunning views & very welcoming host. We stayed with our 3yr old & we took his little bike this time as it’s perfect to just play out the front of the cottage & so safe. We had family in another cottage so we used the large hot tub & sauna to which was lovely

We booked four nights and loved it so much we extended our stay. I’m usually a frank but fair reviewer but this time I’m knocked out. Bed is comfy, furniture is quality, kitchen well equipped with decent stuff, underfloor heating is easily comtrolled, efficient and so lovely to walk on in bare feet. You can even have different temperatures in different rooms. The welcome we got was lovely and the whole family were friendly but not so all invasive. The farm is so quiet and peaceful. You are not woken at dawn by noisy tractors or anything. We loved eating our evening meal at the dining table then relaxing in the cosy lounge area. There’s an en-suite shower int he master bedroom but a nice big bath in the main bedroom. You have use of the jacuzzi over in the spa building and it’s just gorgeous sitting in there looking out on the gardens. You have a private garden with good furniture so great if you have children you can shut the gates and know they are safe. We ate breakfast int he garden every morning and it gets the sun all day. There’s a washing machine in a utility room so no noise and you can use the airier inside or your own washing line outside. You even get to drink safe tested well water straight from your kitchen tap and bathe in it too.

We stayed in the Twlc cottage, myself, my husband and my 5 year old daughter. Kathryn was fantastic in getting us this cottage for the 2 nights due to work commitments. The cottage itself was perfect it had everything we needed. The bedroom was a double bed with a single bed in the room. The hot tub was a bonus! I would highly recommend staying here.

Kathryn and Evan have a fantastic place in a beautiful part of North Wales. Kathryn was so helpful allowing us to stay for just the 2 nights we required. Her delicious home made biscuits were waiting in the kitchen for us! She also brought round some amazingly fruity flavoured sloe gin(hic) As well as the Spa, we had our own hot tub outside the cottage. Y Twlc was certainly no pigsty, a well done cosy conversion, with everything you need for your stay. Don't worry about paying by BACS. This is no fly by night operation. Well signposted on the road to Y Ffor, no muddy tracks on approach, all areas around the cottages are clean tarmac. Visitors book in cottage contained all favourable comments, including those of children who enjoyed their stay too.

What a fantastic place to spend our anniversary. We had a lovely week in twlc (pigsty) cottage. The cottage is well equipped and cozy. The log burner was much appreciated especially as the weather wasn't so good. Being surrounded by fields of sheep and daffodils and having lovely hosts really made for a great week. They really went out of their way to make the week special for us, and gave us some great local knowledge of where to go and where to eat. Being the only guests on the farm for the week meant we had the hot tub and sauna all to ourselves which was an added treat. We would definately recommend a stay here to our friends and family as the location is perfect for exploring the area.

After staying in the beautiful Y Stabl cottage in June 2016, I have just arrived back from my second stay at Llwyndyrys, this time staying in the Hafod Cottage. The farm spa cottages really are a gem and show Wales at its best! The location is relaxing and the surrounding area breath taking! The cottages themselves are cosy, full of character, but also have all the home comforts you need to truly have a relaxing break! I cannot wait for my next visit....really did not want to leave! x

We've been coming to the farm for nearly twelve years, sometimes twice a year. Considering it's an 8 hour drive to Pwllheli from our home in Cornwall I think this shows just how fabulous this magical place is. The complex has 5 cosy cottages, we've stayed in 4 of them over the years and all of them are comfortable, warm and well appointed. Our favourite has to be Hafod as it holds many lovely memories of our early visits to the Llyn Peninsula. Kathryn, Evan and Jim run the place as a family business and this is the other magical ingredient- just how welcome they make you feel, nothing is too much trouble and they are always happy to see us return and care about their visitors. Add the gorgeous hot tub, sauna and fantastic hot stone massages provided by Ruth, the amazing therapist, this place is heaven on earth. We're always so sad to leave but cannot drive away without making sure we have booked our next visit. If you love the great outdoors but love a bit of pampering and comfort after a day walking, climbing or cycling this is the place to be!

We arrived to find a large dehumidifier in the lounge. It was soon removed and we asked for some heating as everything felt damp and cold. There were no towels on arrival, nor anything for cleaning/washing in the bathroom or kitchen. We asked for towels, then went shopping for washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, surface cleaner/wipes and tea-towels, as well as milk & food for the week. When we came to cook our meal the oven did not work - the owner did cook our meal. The oven was replaced the next day. We had to ask for the Wi-Fi code. Also asked for 5 light bulbs to be replaced. They did that the next day but then we found our heating setting turned down to 15 deg! We never did find out how to use the hot-tub - when I asked later in the week it was being cleaned out and would not be warm until after we left. 'I thought you didn't want to use it - we were never asked.' The cottage could have been good if some care had been taken to make us welcome. It was well fitted out and the living room furniture was comfortable, as was the bed. Information about the nearest shops would be useful. There was always a large vacuum cleaner propped against the living room wall! Not what one expects in a supposedly 5 star cottage. The heating was OK in the important areas, but we couldn't get heat to the bedroom or corridor radiators. The location was lovely, but we did find the owners' dogs troublesome. This area of Wales was lovely to explore when it was not so busy, as in school holidays. Very handy for several castles and National Trust properties.

Really great little cottage conversion on the farm. Well fitted out interior and more than enough space for two. Good kitchen, new bathroom and underfloor heating made for some nice features. Very cosy and not too far from Snowdonia.

Went as a group of 8 friends to stay for the weekend. The cottage exceeded our expectations. Very high quality fixtures and fittings. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. A welcome hamper was waiting for us. (Jam and biscuits, confectionery made by Kathryn the owner). Lovely bedrooms, nicely decorated and quality bed linen. Underfloor heating downstairs. Wood burner in the lounge. Flat screen tv, ipod docking station, radio/dvd in kitchen. Toilet and shower room down stairs, washing machine in utility area. The kitchen is fully fitted. Lovely crockery. Plenty of serving bowls etc. Bathroom upstairs with bath and shower. Table and chairs for 8 outside. We used the hot tub and sauna which was a nice treat. (Located in a wooden cabin across the yard). Set in lovely countryside. East to find which is also a bonus! All of the cottages looked lovely and the yard is very tidy. Approx 5 miles from Pwllheli. Taxis in abundance to get to and from town if required. We can't wait to come again. Diolch yn fawr.
