From the moment we arrived I was impressed with this place, pulling up next to the beautiful running river and Alison, the friendly hostess was at the door to meet us. The whole place was spotless, very important during the pandemic, our room was very spacious with a good sized bathroom, which included a full sized walk in shower. The beds were very comfy, with lovely plump pillows. They had thought of everything, from a fully stocked tea tray with a range of teas, coffees & biscuits to toiletries in the bathroom. It has a beautiful garden which looks over the river complete with a tiki style bar/ summerhouse. The breakfast was delicious, everything was so fresh, hot and served promptly. Nothing was too much for the hosts Alison and Phill, they were full of local knowledge as well as great cooks! Definitely recommend here, very impressed.

There are 3 things you can be sure of when you arrive at Talybont B&B: a warm welcome from Alison and Phill, a comfortable room and delicious food. Alison makes her own bread which we enjoyed every morning at breakfast.
The house is well equipped with sanitisers and the public areas are fogged everyday. We felt very safe and well cared for during our stay.

Hello Ann, many thanks indeed for such a lovely review, we're both so pleased you enjoyed yourself and more importantly, felt safe! Have to make a slight correction though before Phill sees - as he is the one who makes the bread! :-) Take care, Alison

A warm welcome awaits guests. Great attention to detail. We especially found the boot warmer/drier useful when our walking boots became sodden. They dried overnight. There is a fridge on the landing for guests to use and fresh milk available. Tasty freshly prepared breakfast with local quality ingredients. When we arrived Phil offered to fill our flask to take on our walk and alison kindly gave us some of his delicious home baked banana and blueberry cake. Highly recommend this b and b

My wife and I stayed here for the first time, the location was perfect for exploring the area and the Snowdonia national park. Located next to the Afon Ysgethin the scenery and surroundings were fantastic. A great area for walking and exploring the natural countryside.
The B and B was very nice and of the best we have stayed in, great garden, spacious rooms, spotlessly clean, everything you needed, including a great breakfast. The hosts Alison and Phil could not have been more pleasant and helpful, offering plenty of advice on the areas, shops, walks, eateries, etc, nothing was to much trouble.
We will definitely return and highly recommend this B and B.
Many thanks
Anne and Phil

On arrival, Allison and Phil gave us a warm welcome, set up a spot in the garden over looking the river and made us feel at home instantly, it was so good that I cancelled my holiday to Devon and booked my holiday again here! The room we stayed in was just quite simply amazing, it was fresh, modern and of beach style. I also enjoyed the hearty breakfast and there is a good selection of cereals, yoghurts, etc. in addition to the hot breakfast. I would go as far to say that the sausage and bacon is the best I have ever tasted!

I was pleased that our room also had access to a private patio area and that we were free to relax in the garden as we wish. Allison and Phil are very accommodating and provide tourist information leaflets, etc. during your stay.

The hotel was really easy to find and the area itself is quaint, peaceful and near the beautiful Talybont beach, making it the perfect place for couples and family holidays.

Stayed with a friend over two nights, we had a lovely welcome from Alison and Phill, the room was superb, very comfortable beds and the best shower! Anything you could want for breakfast from simple fruit and yogurts, to cereals and porridge, to full Welsh breakfast (highly recommended to set you up for the day) and Phill's homemade bread with traditional butter curls was so good. It is set in a beautiful location next to the river and just a 15 minute walk to the beach where we enjoyed an amazing sunset. I would highly recommend this B&B.

We've just returned from 2 nights at this fantastic, hidden gem of a hideaway. Alison and Phill are an amazingly attentive, interesting and welcoming couple. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well -equipped. . . there was even a double boot/shoe dryer. We had a small fridge to chill our drinks and the shower was fantastic. Guests can use the peaceful, riverside garden where fellow dog lovers would appreciate the company of the couples 2 dogs.
The location is fabulous, being a 5 minute walk to Talybont station ( 10 mins to Barmouth every 2 hours ), even less to the local pub and approx 10 minutes down to the beach and a great bar/restaurant Nineteen 57 ( I think).
The Breakfast ? Simply fantastic. Delicious home made bread by Phill, large variety of fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurts. The sausage, bacon etc is all locally sourced and extremely tasty. Alison is a talented cook, the presentation impressive and portion size. . . more than enough. Believe me, if you choose the ' Full Welsh ' option, you can skip lunch.
It's just basically a fantastic B&B, run by a lovely couple. There might be a few more exclusive establishments in the area but none will beat it for value for money.

Fantastic B & B, Alison and Phil make you feel at home from the minute you arrive, and can’t do enough for you!
Such a peaceful location and lovely to have the option of chilling in the summer house (heated) at the end of a busy day climbing Caedar Idris (highly recommend this too, stunning views).
Awesome breakfast, fantastic customer experience. I’m extremely fussy and you won’t find a nicer hideaway B & B than this! I will definitely be back 😊
