Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Golden Fleece has friendly, accommodating staff who always havr a smile on their faces. It has quiet, clean rooms and is in a wonderful location, a shoet drive from so many of North Wales wonderful destinations. I'd highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be returning in the future.

Room Clean and very comfortable, would definitely recommend. Breakfast was lovely - would definitely recommend booking directly with them rather through a booking site. Staff very friendly & helpful.

As always The Golden Fleece gave us a warm welcome. Everything was splendid and we are looking forward to revisiting as usual next March/April: Our dinner was very tasty and breakfast too: It was very good to see how busy it was on Saturday evening in the restaurant. Thank you to all the staff.

Lovely stay as always. We stayed in the King Suite and it was lovely. Was a little chilly as the radiators weren’t on but the fire warmed us up. Food was lovely as always! The only complaint we would have is the service was not as good as the previous 4 years we have been. We booked 2 evenings for meals and were seated in the main reception area where it felt like the locals had been seated after a day at work. Previous 4 years was also table service and it seems this has stopped. Even when it came to checking out, there was nobody on the desk. Still another great stay.

Lovely welcoming family pub. Excellent food in the restaurant at reasonable prices and the room was recently refurbished and cosy and comfortable. Brilliant price for a double room B&B booked directly.

Superb place , my partner and I stayed for two nights, accommodation excellent , clean and cosy. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent and in particular our breakfasts which were included in the rate, one of cleanest well cooked breakfasts I have eaten in a BnB , we definitely be back.

From the minute I arrived the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. I was shown where my room was as I was in a separate cottage to the pub check in. I was traveling alone so I was so happy that the security was excellent at the accommodation. You needed your key to get into the main door and then again for your room. The accommodation entrance was beautiful and the carpets were just amazing. My room was spacious and decorated beautifully. It had everything I needed. I would only say that the door was hard to open and close on entrance but nothing a huge bang didn't sort (sorry to my neighbour). Breakfast was out of this world. You could choose absolutely anything on the menu and I was there 2 mornings and both were superb. The ingredients were tasty and filling. Again the staff were friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff on arrival - room decoration really nice and the bed was comfy - lots of tea and coffee in the room. There was plenty of free parking adjacent to the hotel. I left early so didn’t get to try the breakfast unfortunately.

Nice hotel with excellent staff, good bar meals and a great breakfast. The room was clean and quite ‘niche’ with its golden headboard and gold painted dressing table. My only complaint was the lumpy pillows but otherwise very good value for money.

Room Tip: Parking on the street in the market square which may be busier in the summer.
