Went to the newly refurbished Liverpool Arms for our first post lockdown meal. We were greeted on arrival by the staff who explained to us the Covid protocol of the resturant and use of the toilets. The staff were helpful and attentive, the food and service excellent and the whole meal was enjoyed in a comfortable, safe atmosphere. The refurbishment was excellent and modern, especially the light fittings and both Sarah and Matthew made us welcome and feel comfortable with well spaced tables, social distanci g and plenty of hand sanitiser.

Very friendly place recently refurbished so we were told. Recommended by a local so that must say something. Excellent meal - could not fault it. Best steak pie in Wales . Ate there on a Thursday evening and then tried again on the Saturday but it was packed and all tables booked so we just had a drink . Considering how busy it was the staff were still happy and friendly and surprisingly calm
So if you want to eat at the weekend make sure you book a table

The staff here are lovely without exception. They all made you feel welcome and explained exactly what the process was for track and trace and wearing masks. The food really was lovely. Well presented and tasty. The hotel was very clean and tidy. The meals were brought in a timely way and the staff were attentive but made sure you had space and time to enjoy. Great experience and great food

Today we stopped off for a quick visit to Beaumaris ..we came across the Liverpol Arms Hotel and was able to be squeezed in for a table at short notice..the staff asked us to use hand sanitizer, took or contact details for track and trace and informed us of the toilet procedures..the food that came was amazing.the kitchen and staff was busy as it was 'Dine out to Help out", nothing was too much trouble the staff were great and served everything to our table.
We have been staying on Anglesey for a week now and eaten at lots of places ..this was the best this week!! Highly recommended .

I stayed the Liverpool Arms with my 16 year old son for 4 nights.
The hotel is beautiful and packed with original features. I used to stay here with my parents when I was a child and whilst it's been tastefully refurbished over the years, it's maintained it's charm.
Our room was spacious and comfortable. The towels and bed linen were excellent quality.
We had breakfast every morning. The produce was top quality and beautifully presented.
We dined in the restaurant on two of the nights during our stay. The menu was huge and there was a great choice of different dishes. The portion sizes were great and everything was very good value for money.
The thing that stands out at the Liverpool Arms is the Staff. EVERYONE was very friendly without being overpowering and nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel very special throughout our stay and all of the staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs!
Whatever it is you are doing Liverpool Arms, keep up the good work - you have a hotel to be very proud of! :)

I visited last week with my partner and parents as I had Heard this place had recently been renovated. We were not disappointed, it was super comfy and cosy with a very warm welcome. The service was attentive and efficient and my Beef stroganoff was super tasty and really fresh tasting the ( chef knows what he is doing!) Four of us ate and all of us loved it 🌟 can’t wait to return.

We tried our luck during the Easter holidays and were very pleased.
Excellent service and great food.
We turned up just after midday (4 adults, 2 children and two dogs), luckily they had a table big enough and space for the dogs to lie down.
The waitress was relaxed and funny, and good with the kids.
All of us ate every bit of food on our plates and were very happy with our choices and the prices were very reasonable.
Would definitely recommend for families.

We booked for 4 nights b and in a room with a queen size bed and confirmed this in the comments.

I understand this is a very old building and we have taken that into consideration with regard to the comments.
We were given room 7 which was on the top floor , it didn't have a large bed but had a double and a single . We decided to accept the room .
First the good
The food In the evening and covid precautions in the pub were First class.
The breakfast was also excellent .
Staff were friendly and efficient.

The not so good

No wifi in room 7
The room in long 14 ft approx and thin , the tv 22 inch was at one end Next to where the only sockets in the room were . This means the double bed is 14 ft away from the tv making the words impossible to read.
The mirror is at the other end of the room so I had to dry my hair at one end looking into a mirror 14 ft away. This could have been easily remedied by having a mirror over the sockets.
Both beds were very creaky especially the single bed.
At the end of our stay we were asked to bag the bed linen and towels, not a problem, however it did show us the stained lumpy pillows and mattress protectors.
There was no housekeeping not a big issue as toilet roll tea coffee etc were left outside the door every evening.

Bathroom
Sloping room meant the shower was very low , we are both tall, so had to shower holding the shower head.
The silicone round the bath was black in places and very badly done.
The ceiling had big stains and black mould.
The extractor fan was not working.
The shelf unit on the wall was rusty.
The bathroom door had a 6 inch panel screwed to which looked like someone had punched the door.

Unfortunately the weather during our stay was not good so we cancelled the last night and came home.
I did mention some of these issues with the staff on checking out and she did make a note .
We understand things are difficult these days but we did pay the full asking price.

What a lovely pub!
Fantastic food and plenty of it,friendly, helpful staff and a nice atmosphere, also dog friendly with water bowls for your furry friend. They are following guidelines for covid, hand gel on entering and details taken for track and trace so we felt very at ease. If you're visiting Beaumaris highly reccomend a visit here for a meal or just a drink.

Just ate here for the past 3 nights. WOW the food is awesome. The Steak Pie is the best around, the chilli beef strips are to die for and the mixed grill was pure meat with no fat. We came last year and the food was amazing then too. This year, there has been a refurbishment and the whole place looks great with socially distanced tables and the most pleasant staff serving as well. The kids menu has really healthy options too, we can’t wait to come back again next year!
