What a fabulous cottage, four of us had a fabulous stay in this absolutely stunning, spotless spot,The welcome extended to us was amazing ,it was a rather belated golden wedding break for the four of us .We were greeted by Geraldie bearing a large bottle of Prosecco and a large bouquet of flowers.
The scenery is stunning and the weather was superb,oh,and England won, what more can you want,we WILL be back.

I would like the thank Geraldine and Tony for an amazing experience. I haven't come across any one as knowledgeable about the area and such perfect hosts. They couldn't do enough for us. The accommodation is perfect and stunning Location is unreal. So serene and tranquil Breakfast is locally sourced and tastes amazing.

Such little gestures mean a lot. A cup of tea and cake when you arrive is such a lovely introduction into the guesthouse. It is truly a must place to stay and visit.

Already booked for another stay. Can't wait to be back

We stayed here for a night 13th April and I would highly recommend it as a place to stay. Geraldine and Tony were extremely friendly and made us feel incredibly welcome as soon as we arrived. We were given home made cake, which was delicious and tea/ coffee before being shown to our room. They are lovely hosts who can't do enough for you, without being overbearing or "too much," as we've experienced at other guest houses.

When we were shown to our room we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was. It's also spotlessly clean and decorated really well. The bed was extremely comfy and the room had a good layout with a comfortable seating area and plenty of space to get dressed etc. Bathroom was also spotless, with toiletries and plenty of fluffy towels. There are tea/ coffee Making facilities in the room. Along with fresh milk, bottled water and biscuits.

Geraldine and Tony recommended restaurants for us to visit, we took their advice and we weren't disappointed. They also advised us on routes for nearby walks, which all had stunning scenery.

This place is in a fab location for exploring the coastal path. Amazing views from the path just across the way from the house. A beautiful walk along the tops, down past the well and then on to penmon point is literally on the doorstep.

It's a lovely property, with kind, friendly hosts. This places offers great value for money and the breakfast is delicious!!!! Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.
Thanks to you both for your hospitality.
My only regret is not booking an extra night!

My wife and I have just spent a wonderful weekend here. The views are breathtaking and our hostess Lynda couldn't have been more accommodating contributing to an excellent experience.

Our room was spotless, with modern facilities and very comfortably furnished with crisp white sheets and thick fluffy towels. As for the views from our room, simply stunning! We also loved the little personal touches that made us feel so welcome. The Welsh breakfast was freshly prepared and cooked and was delicious.

5* attention to detail and a knowledgeable & gracious host. What more could you want? We highly recommend this B&B. If you're looking for a relaxing weekend retreat its simply perfect!

We normally stay in hotels, but seeing the wonderful reviews on Tripadvisor we thought we'd try this B&B, and booked for 4 nights.

Clearly many people love this place, so why didn't we? Well we found that we really need the full range of services that a hotel can provide, and we left after 2 nights to book into a hotel.

That is no reflection on Gwyndaf, but all the same we think we can expect more even from a B&B, and I wonder how this can be rated 5 star accommodation.

I'm sure there must be better B&B's in the area for a similar price.

We had the room under the roof (yes I banged my head), but it offered more style than function. A hair dryer was provided, but we had to shift furniture to find a power point, and with no dressing stool my wife had to kneel to use the mirror.

Bath robes are a nice touch, but the towels were quite small and thin. When we returned in the evening they were still wet on the cold towel rail, and we had to ask for dry ones.

Toiletries were provided, but these weren't replenished after we used them. Ditto the teabags. I was left with a choice of herbal infusion or green tea.

I read Tripadvisor reports of breakfasts too big to finish. Well the fruit cocktail was delicious, but 2 rashers of bacon (seemingly from a chaffer, not freshly cooked) and an egg is not a full Welsh breakfast to me, and one of the crystal glasses was both chipped and dirty.

We first stayed at Gwyndaff in 2006 when our son started at Bangor University and over the last 5years that we have visited the area we have never stayed anywhere else - Lynda is the "perfect host", nothing is too much trouble for her and we certainly appreciate the effort that she makes to make all her guests visits as comfortable as possible. We have been accommodated in all 3 of her rooms on our visits and they are all excellent with lovely furnishings, soft furnishings and extremely comfortable beds with fresh white bed linen and towels. Every evening she asks us our choice for breakfast and is happy to serve at what ever time we would like - the cooked breakfast is superb with local produce where available - fresh fruit salad with yoghurt and cereal is available along with as much toast as you require! Lynda's attention to detail is faultless and Henry, her black labrador is an "amazing co-host." Lynda's knowledge, love and appreciation of the are has led us to visit some beautiful places. We love the area and Gwyndaff and despite our son having now left Bangor I am sure that we will in the future be enticed back and hopefully to Gwyndaff - if Lynda will have us!!!

Tony and Gerardine are very welcoming and helpul. They had even offered to pick me up from Beaumaris when it was clear that my hike would bring me to their doorstep after dark. The room has ample space and is very comfortable. It is just off the kitchen, where you will have your breakfast. The en-suite was also very clean and modern. The breakfast was very good, with locally sourced items. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

It was an absoute joy to meet and stay with Tony and Geraldine in their accommodation. What a great place to stay and what fab hosts. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left we were made to feel very welcome. Our comfort was their priority and everything ( room, service, breakfast) was first class. We stayed with them for three days and I cannot over emphasise how much they and staying here contributed to our enjoyment of our break in Anglesey. A very classy place to stay. Highly recommend.

Is it possible to walk to and from the town of Beaumaris?
Answer from Geraldine H
Flitwick, United Kingdom3 contributions7 helpful votes
Hi it is possible, it is approximately 3 miles, you can depending on the tides walk along the coastal path, which is far better as by road on the stretches near to us the road as narrow without footpaths . Hope this help Regards Geraldine and Tony
