We stayed here for 3 nights for B and B. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the car park in Beaumaris is long stay for £4 to park during the day and a 5 minute walk.

The room is well decorated with lots of things to make you feel welcome. There is a nepresso machine with pods supplied as well as welcome biscuits and water. The towels were lovely and the bathrooms had lovely fittings.

You have to realise this is a very old building so the doors do bang and the plumbing can sound noisy at times but it adds to the charm. It is on the main road so it can get noisy during the day if you have the windows open.

Terrific stay and would certainly come back again!

We booked here for a valentines getaway. The room was good apart from the toilet wouldn’t flush properly. The restaurant we wouldn’t go there again. We had a tomato soup with was served with slice of bread cheese in the soup. Soup was ok but hardly much for £7. The mains were disappointing, for them prices you are paying you expect a little more for your money. We had a trio and fish and chips. Chips where frozen not homemade, fish was ok but very greasy. Wife had the trio and one tiny carrot classed as served with vegetables was really not what we expected.

Overall hotel was nice but wouldn’t recommend the restaurant. There’s lots more around for better value for money and fresh.

Stayed here for four nights. Fantastic!
The room was airy and spacious for the two of us and we found that even with high winds and rain, the thick walls meant we could still have the window open without disturbance. Bed and bedding super comfy too.
The breakfast was provided in the room and gave a good range of options - too much for us to have in one go but great to be able to pack pastries for a day's walking. We had room service once, which gave good options from the standard menu and was delivered promptly.
All the staff were warm and welcoming, striking up conversations about our day. The bar was a good place to relax and the option of a resident's lounge meant we didn't have to be in our room to unwind.
They have clearly thought carefully about dealing with space and comfort options in the current climate and we were really confident that they were taking all necessary measures to keep everyone safe.
Will definitely return!

Visited the bull on the last night of our break 2/3/20 and wow what a let down I opted for the roast onion broth which came in the smallest jug imaginable there was about 3 spoonfuls and not even bread the taste was bland. For the main I had fish which was obviously cooked earlier that day and refried and served dry fish and too much batter. Needless to say we didn't stay for a sweet and won't be returning. Overpriced and Underwhelming food.

I was booked to stay in the hotel for a weekend stay. Unfortunately, my wife and I were required to self isolate at short notice on the Friday.

I called the hotel to explain that we would be unable to travel and therefore would need to cancel the booking.

The hotel informed me that it would not be able to provide a refund of my £66 deposit (25%). This is perfectly within the hotel’s rights but disappointing given the circumstances.

I offered to let the hotel keep the deposit and that we could book another date - we have tickets for zipworld and therefore would definitely be visiting the area at some point in the near term.

As we are in a world where this sort of thing can happen to anyone, please be aware that this is the hotel’s policy.

The hotel it’s self was lovely. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
We had heard very good things about the restaurant and I had booked it for my partners birthday.
Unfortunately the food let the whole stay down.
I ordered the pork starter. The fritter I cut into had a big wedge of soggy fat and not much meat at all. The second I was nearly sick, there was what I can only think is a nostril or other hairy hole on a pig staring at me!
I asked for it to be taken back to the kitchen and the chef told the waitress that they make these out of the pigs head and to expect 20% fat.
I am not a fussy eater and will eat small bit of fat but not cartilage and hair! I’m no chef but I only thought you could use the joules of a pig!

The mains were ok ish!
My partner ordered the rib eye which again was fattier then a normal rib eye, and the garlic chips were covered so much in garlic oil they were dripping and did not taste nice.
I ordered the lobster which for the price was disappointing as I got half of the tail, it was cooked well but just covered in cheese so much so you lost the taste of the lobster.

The deserts were ok the chocolate sphere came and the brownie was dry and tasteless.

I usually don’t leave reviews but this really disappointed me.

Really disappointed with our stay unfortunately.

We were in the Mr Peggotty room on a very warm August evening. The room is dual aspect and right outside each window were two separate areas for people to sit and eat/drink. The noise in the room was really quite unacceptable until gone midnight, even with the windows closed. It was uncomfortably hot as a result of having to shut the windows and it was impossible to sleep. With this level of noise it would have been useful if there had been some complimentary ear plugs for guests.

A minor criticism of the room was the lack of mirror where you could get ready. There was one small mirror on the wall but no shelf or anything near it and it was in a very dark corner.

The pillows were incredibly soft. If you put your hand on it it literally sank to the bottom. I think if you’re going to provide these kinds of pillows there need to be spares for people who don’t like to sleep flat.

On the positive side, the room was beautifully decorated and very very clean.

Breakfast was a bit of a shambles. Utterly disorganised and it wasn’t even busy when we went. Both coffee jugs were empty, as was the apple and orange juice. We managed to get a glass of apple juice out but it had something very dubious in the bottom of it. Went and poured another half glass (as that’s all that was left) and the same thing happened again. No idea what it was but it certainly wasn’t any part of an apple!

There were no cups or plates anywhere so we had to wait about to ask someone to put some more out.

I ordered Eggs Royale but unfortunately the eggs were over cooked and hard and there was way too much Hollandaise sauce. I had to scrape it off and leave it on the edge of the plate.

The toast machine wasn’t set correctly so you had a choice of warm bread or cremated toast. The bread came out underdone but if you put it back in it came out burnt. I watched three people all have the same problem so if I noticed it surely the staff must have been aware?

On a positive note, all the staff I spoke to were absolutely lovely - really friendly and helpful. However, I wouldn’t pay £130 again for bed and breakfast when it was too hot and noisy to sleep and the breakfast was so bad we had to go to Jollys down the road instead.

The Bull at Beaumaris has changed for the worse. It all began when we decided on the spur of the moment to book a 2 night beak at the Bull. We have been there many times and enjoyed staying there. We Rang the new owners The Inn Collection and booked the 2 night break and Dinner for 19.30 hours on the Friday evening. The bar used to be a haven for a few pints and service was good. Now you queue for a pint whilst food orders are taken at the till and people can now eat anywhere in the hotel including the very nice "residents lounge". After Dinner which was good, we saw at the checkout counter a leaflet with a 2 night stay including dinner on one night of the stay. we spoke to reception and were told that they could not retrospectively apply the deal. we explained how we had booked at head office and that no mention of the deal had been suggested to us. Despite this they said they could not apply the deal. We are very disappointed that the promise of the "Best price guarantee" was broken. So watch out in future when dealing with "The INN Collection.

Great rooms, good service & good location but food is disappointing.
Very main stream “steak and chips” which I expect suits many.
For somewhere so close to the coast seafood was very limited.
I tried the lobster and it was uninspiring.
The salad came with a bland dressing already added, no choice and tasted like it was from a supermarket bottle.
There used to be a fine dining restaurant here but no more.
Could be so much better.

We have stayed at the Bull several times over the years and since becoming an Inn Collection hotel some changes have been made that have been to the detriment of our visit. No deal breakers per se, but little frustrating issues. We stayed in a suite room, which was lovely and very clean and comfortable but missing staple items such as no bottles of water in the room, no towelling robes and no walk in shower.
The restaurant was only OK, although service from Jackie was excellent (thanks Jackie, see you again soon) but the menu was rather pub grub and I really struggled to find something on the menu that jumped out at me. In the end, my wife had fish and chips, which was good and I had sea bass with pearl couscous, which was cooked well but just ok. Breakfast was disappointing. No kippers on the menu now, and the poached eggs (well cooked) were served on a dry piece of thin white toast and not the thick, buttered farmhouse bread listed on the menu. When I queried this, the server was unaware of this omission and stated that the eggs were always served on white sliced bread (poor show).
I must say that all of the staff we spoke to were lovely and friendly.
We didn’t use the bar on this visit, but did notice that it was very very quiet whenever we looked in and that’s a surprising change from what we have experienced in the past. It’s usually a busy, buzzing atmosphere in the bar.
We love Beaumaris and we do love staying at the Bull.
We will be back, but would be very disappointed if these issues are not addressed.

Is there anywhere to park a motorhome during the day in Beautiful.
Answer from Growcs
Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom8 contributions11 helpful votes
Hi, yes there's a large car park called the green its on the seafront just around the corner from the hotel. The hotel doesn't have its own car park and recommends customers to park at the green. The car park charges are a little confusing. It says £4.00 charge for all day up to 6 am.. making you think you have to get up early to put more money in the meter. This is not the case you can leave your vehicle on the car park for the duration of your holiday with the one £4.00 parking ticket. You only have to pay again if you remove the vehicle and return again. We had 3 days parking for £8.00. We stayed there in April and it was the hotel that told us about the charges.
