We tried here for a carvery one Sunday. Firstly was quiet when we arrived and we soon found out why. Beef was that overcooked you wouldn't want to drop it on your foot. Turkey was falling to pieces couldn't even carve a slice neatly. Veg was cold and mushy. Roast potatoes where hollow and black. Gravy was the only tasty...

Visited with a friend attending a 21st birthday Made to feel really welcome straight away. Rooms were large and comfortable, if a little dated. That can be forgiven though as had best nights sleep in years! Breakfast and Sunday Carvery both highly recommended tho.

We booked a table here for a big family dinner. From taking our order, it took over an hour to get our food. Majority of it was overdone. The waitress brought too many drinks but we were still charged for them. There was one woman who walked around as if she owned the place..perhaps she was the owner?..she was in...

Very basic rooms. Heating was not working in my room or in the bar / restaurant. The lady covering did apologise and put a small heater in my room which helped but downstairs was still cold. On a positive note the food was nice and staff were helpful. Would not stay again due to the coldness.

Booked here as part of a road trip on the way to Hollyhead ferry. Big mistake. We were in room 14 which is in a separate building. The room was very jaded and basic. The bathroom was appalling. Cracked tiles and mouldy. The whole place is in need of a total makeover. One saving grace. The staff were terrific. The...

The hotel is an old building an due to be refurbished shortly. However, it was very clean and the rooms were pleasant and comfortable. We had our dog with us and were allowed to take him...

Had a great overnight stay here, ate in the restaurant, good food, reasonably priced, the staff were very attentive and polite. The room was good to looked like it had just been refurbished, shower needs doing but it was perfectly usable. Breakfast was excellent and came out promptly.

I am a local and we have been to three other places for carvery but decided to try here today. We were so impressed. Loads to pick from - 4 meats, veg to suit all and potato. Was delicious! Kitchen seemed organised and the whole situation was done properly (other places are a bit hap dash, pop serving here) and...

We booked into a twin room. One of the beds was quite wobbly so I pushed it closer to the other bed only to reveal a cluster of a previous occupants toenail clippings under the bed! I informed one of the staff who in fairness came up with a hoover almost immediately. She was apologetic and murmured that she didn't...
