We went to The Holt Lodge this evening to meet up with family members. We were very warmly welcomed, quickly shown to our table and offered drinks and menus. There was an array of dishes from which to choose and we were all spoilt for choice. When the food arrived it was beautifully presented, piping hot and totally delicious. The...

Perfect stay once again rooms are very lean and tidy as always, ate in the restaurant this time main course perfect found the starters not to be of the same standard but all in all no problems will be stopping again. Good breakfast options just must to remember to order eggs in advance as the scrambled isn't my favourite.

Booked this last minute for the Stereophonics gig and was pleasantly surprised. Really lovely hotel, spotless, lovely restaurant and bar area, plenty of room to chill and the patio area is great. The gem in this hotel though is the staff, from the Reception staff to the Bar staff they're lovely, professional and welcoming. Room was a generally basic one,...

We attended Holt Lodge for an evening Function, which comprised of a Hot Buffet. Unfortunately we were unable to stay at the Hotel itself as it was fully booked - so my review is limited to the impression we got there and the meal itself. The Hotel is in a scenic location and reminds me of a colonial style property....

Wow! What high prices for such low quality. We dined here and we were so disappointed. Bad impression from the outset- bleak from the roadside, untidy driveway, cleaning products visibly displayed in the dining area adm bland, bland food. The steak was awful and portions were very small. The mains were priced at a fine dining standard but, far from...

I had a voucher so me and a friend went. The voucher price was reasonable for what we got however, I thought that the full price was massively over priced. We got a scone each, a piece of carrot cake, and a dissapointing shop bought brownie. We also got 5 small rectangular sandwiches of typical filling - ham and mustard,...

The Holt is an older Hotel, which some parts are in need of some improvement, but that aside, it was a very nice place. I was treated like family from the moment I arrived. The front desk went out of their way to be accommodating, researching local attractions to help us find our way around. The restaurant is amazing! The...

This hotel is in need of a revamp, it very tired and is so in need of an uplift. One to many 2nd chances of going back. Food-in our opinion is very poor and basic. Cleanliness is not 100% and it should be. Feels like the owners have lost interest.
