Stayed for three nights at lovely Plas Efenechtyd. Situated in a peaceful location surrounded by rolling countryside, it really is perfect for a 'get away from it all' break. The tiny hamlet of Efenechtyd is worth a look with its pretty 13th century church and Ruthin is a nice town to visit and has lots of places to eat. Snowdonia...

Thank you so much for this exceptionally nice review! It was a real pleasure to have all of you to stay with us. We really enjoyed your company. And we're so glad you appreciate our house which we feel is rather special. If you're ever thinking of visiting North Wales again, we'd love to see you.

Lovely cottage set down quiet lanes with very nice views. Set off the beaten track but only two miles from the centre of ruthin. Lovely walks around the lanes from the cottage. The breakfast is very good and as one of us is coellic the owners had a gone out of their way to make sure those needs were catered...

Just stayed two nights to attend a wedding at the nearby Pentre Mawr Country House. A lovely B&B in an old farmhouse. Ensuite double room was spotless and very comfy. Superb breakfast as listed on website. All high quality and generous portions, some of which was home made (the preserves, granola and freshly baked bread were super). David and Marilyn...

This was my 4th visit and I'm sure it won't be the last. It's always encouraging to see that the place is every bit as good as the website promises - there are none of those photos that cunningly make the place look better than it really is, and the breakfast was as promised! Dave and Marilyn are always perfect...

Thank you for such a positive and enthusiastic review! We do our best but it's always gratifying to find people appreciating our efforts. The 'off the beaten track gem' that you mention is Ty Mawr Wybrnant - near Penmachno - one of our favourite places. We hope to see you again soon, and will choose another 'Welsh Gem' for you...

Dave and Marilyn were warm and welcoming hosts. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated with beautiful views of the rolling Welsh countryside. We enjoyed watching the woodpecker among other birds visiting the delightful garden, as we tucked into a delicious full 'Welsh breakfast'. Lovely fresh local ingredients including homemade bread, jam, honey & marmalade! (Sadly I forgot to purchase...

Thanks for this lovely review, Hayley. It was a pleasure having you both stay with us, only wish you could have stayed longer. You should plan to come back to this end of Wales and explore the area a bit more. Who knows, there may be a jar or two of marmalade available!

Not only this beautiful B&B but also it's hosts are really gems (and Molly the cat is so cute). We enjoyed our stay there the most and would love to get back there in the near future. Marilyn and Dave gave us a warm welcome and took care about our needs all the time. We were very pleased for the...

Thank you for this really lovely review! "The best stay we ever had"! What an endorsement! And thanks for making the point about finding the house. We are tucked away down a small lane but that's why we're so quiet. For other guests - go to our website and there are easy to follow directions that you can print out...
