We stayed for one night and had a pleasant and enjoyable time. The hosts were very accommodating and provided us with a tasty breakfast. Their local knowledge of tourist attractions were very helpful.

We stayed overnight after attending a friend's birthday celebration. Margaret was very welcoming. When we first arrived she made us a pot of tea which we drank by a beautiful large fire. She even put a hot water bottle in our bed for us to come back to after our night out! The breakfast was delicious. After I booked I...

We arrived at the Gorphwysfa Guest House after a day of dodging advancing flood water, so we were wet, very wet! Margaret O'Riain, our host, was not at all phased by us dripping water in her lovely hall but provided newspaper to put in our boots and catch the worst of the wet. Next, after a quick change, it was...

I was staying overnight in Ruthin combining work with an event the following day. I had a very comfortable room with an amazing private bathroom. Booking was easy despite the owner being away - prompt response to e-mail enquiry. Returning late on Friday evening was delighted to find a thoughtfully placed hot water bottle in my bed - had been...

The building is extraordinary, the breakfast is excellent and the price is very reasonable. There is a huge family room with three beds and two doubles. One of these does not have en-suite but does have a remarkable bathroom across the corridor. However the beds have old fashioned layers of bedding not duvets, the tv's struggle to pick up four...

I have never stayed in a more charming place, one review (deleted now) used the word severe - another on this page states stern they could not have had the same owner as we had - she is warm, friendly, a fabulous cook, breakfast served beautifully and gives her guests 110%. The large bedroom we shared was almost as big...

The room was really clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous, and the lady happily provided my dietary requirements without hesitation. Lovely quiet place, and fab views out of the bedroom window! Would definitely recommend, especially for the older generation looking for somewhere central, cosy and quiet.

I've stayed here a few times and intend returning. It is great value, right in the middle of Ruthin and is charming. Rooms are fine. The breakfast is especially good; I'd recommend asking for porridge when you book - the landlady soaks the oats overnight! The service can be a little stern and old fashioned, but it adds to the...

3 of us stayed in a triple room here that had one very tiny bathroom and 1 twin and 2 double beds. It was neat and clean. The location is on top of a hill in Ruthin. VERY narrow road. You had to go up on the curb to pass another car. On one or two streets leading to it...
